Subhan'Allah how great is the plan of ALLAH (Rabbul Izzat), that the frenzied rabid hatred directed by the Media and the establishment in the west... Has become a source of guidance for Thousands upon thousands..people are curious what does Islam really say? Many are researching and becoming muslim.. Now by the Grace Of ALLAH (Subhana Wa Ta'ala) is the best of times and the most fertile of times for Dawah.

We need to be fully confident about it.

Here is a short bit of advice from Shaykh Ahmed Deedat رحمة الله عليه in the following link youtu.be/VGV5UDUnMC0

You missed this bit of my Quote...."people are curious what does Islam really say? Many are researching and becoming muslim".

Conversion to Islam: A Study of Native British Converts by Ali Kose. 1996.

New Muslims in Britain by Adlin Adnan. 1999

One of the Primary factors for people researching into Islam because of the constant negative press which began in 1990 around about the start of the first Gulf war, and with the Downfall of the Soviet union.

In the decades Prior to 1990's the rate of converts was negligible at best...Personally speaking I have Lived in the City of Birmingham since 1977 and from the year 1977 to 1990 I came across one convert a Jamaican Brother.

As the above research study from 2011 shows 100,000 have converted.

all i am asking is, is there a direct correlation between...

Quote:
the frenzied rabid hatred directed by the Media and the establishment in the west
and...
(this hatred) ...Has become a source of guidance for Thousands upon thousands..people are curious what does Islam really say? Many are researching and becoming muslim

which your posts seems to have implied. if there is such a correlation then can you please provide whatever evidence there is that suggests such a correlation. i am interested if there is such a connection hence why i am asking.

if you dont know then that's fine.

[italics in brackets are my addition for clarification.]

Well in that case I have nothing further to add...To the Studies I already referenced above. I am not sure there is such a detailed study on a microscopic level.

Such a study would have to take in all the various factors. For example.

How many non-Muslims have done research on Islam after being bombarded and exposed to it in the Media? How many of those sought out Primary Islamic Sources, that is Books written by Muslims, and talks given by Muslims? And how many of those refered to hostile non- muslim authors and speakers? How many of these were researching Islam to find out what its teachings are? And how many were researching in an effort to find propaganda points to malign Islam and reinforce their prejudice?

Of those individuals who sought out Primary Islamic sources how many actually converted? Of those whose intiall objective was to research Islam in order to malign it, how many of them actually found their prejudices and preconceptions were untrue and end up converting?

How many of those who converted to Islam were initially on a spiritual quest and merely studied Islam as part of a wider study of all religions? How Many studied Islam after being exposed to born muslims? How Many Studied Islam after having a friend or family member convert to Islam?

Probably loads of other variables... How many converted after being handed free Dawah literature by a Muslim organisation? For every hundred Packs of Dawah literature handed out how many people actually convert?

Probably Christian Missionaries who go into such detailed researched in their Missions, I doubt if there are any Muslim organisations who do so?

All we can say with some degree of certainty is that although Muslims arrived in the UK in the 1950's, in the succeeding decades there was not many people converting to Islam, infact not many Muslim youth interested in Islam, very little Dawah work done amongst non-Muslims, not much work or lectures being done for the Muslim youth growing up in the 1970's and 1980's, the first time I personally heard a talk in English I was 20 years Old...!

What we do know is in the 1990's a shift took place that tilted the scale in the opposite direction youth started taking an interest in the deen, and more converts started appearing this corresponds with the Media beginning there relentless attacks on Islam.

I hope this helps Insha'Allah Sorry I could not be of greater benefit in your research.

One other factor I missed out is the impact of the Movie Malcolm X which was released in the early 1990's that film was what led to initial converts from the Afro-Carribean community...!
