In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh
This statement is being issued on the 29th of June 2016 and supersedes all previous statements on the subject.
Let us begin by stating that the majority of British citizens exercised their right to express their wishes, that the UK should no longer be part of the EU. The wishes of the majority should be respected. We firmly believe that a majority of those voting for Brexit are neither racist nor xenophobic or Islamophobes but are decent, proud law abiding citizens of Britain who stand with us in condemning what is happening to our country.
A recent report into Islamophobia in the UK has found that Muslim hate crime is most likely to be carried out by teenagers and that women are more likely to be attacked than men. This report was commissioned by TellMama and worked on by the late MP Jo Cox.

AGREE
But The MINORITY Brexiters have unleashed the purge.
The hidden have come out of hiding.
The fear is on.
But I fear not as I leave my affairs in the hands of my maker.
It's pretty obvious that a fascist and racist would vote for brexit, now they feel they have achieved something on an international scale, not realising that the rest of the voters are not racist for fascist like themselves.
Racism has always existed, this has just given racism the boost they desperately crave. Although the brexit voting was never intended to do this.
Hate crimes soared by 41% after Brexit vote, official figures reveal
There was a sharp increase in the number of racially or religiously aggravated crimes recorded by police in England and Wales following the EU referendum, the Home Office has said.
In July 2016, police recorded a 41 per cent increase compared to the same month the year before, reported Sky News.
These official figures appear to correlate with previous reports of a rise in post-Brexit hate crime.
In September, the National Police Chiefs' Council released figures which showed the number of incidents rose by 58 per cent in the week following the vote to leave the EU.
As is the rest of the world. And it will be the little people who will be affected the most and made to pick up the slack. The rich and powerful will find a way to profit from it. They probably already have. I wouldn't be surprised if things are playing out exactly how they want it to play out.
politcians are like casinos and gambling places, they always win. the main advocators of brexit are mostly well off millionairs who stand to make a killing from it. despite all the damage brexit will do to the UK i am hoping it goes through. the arrogance of this nation reached boiling point and this should knock them down a peg or two. also they go on about how great democrazy is, now look what democrazy has led to. people voting for their own downfall
I think we're better off leaving now. Which ever deal it is.
Reason for that:
It's possible that if we pull out now, the Europeans could force us to take the Euro, force us to have one Army, force us to do everything we don't want to do.
It could be a catch 22 situation for us.
Each time it drags on, the nation is suffering, the people don't know what to do, the businesses don't know where they stand. It's affecting everyone. So let's just get on with it and get it over and done with.
24JAN2020: Boris Johnson signs withdrawal agreement in Downing Street
Boris Johnson has signed the Brexit withdrawal agreement in Downing Street.
The prime minister hailed a "fantastic moment" for the country after he put his name to the historic agreement, which paves the way for the UK's exit from the European Union next Friday.
He said he hoped it would "bring to an end far too many years of argument and division".
Earlier on Friday, European leaders signed the document in Brussels, before it was transported to London by train.
The signings mark another step in the ratification process, following Parliament's approval of the Brexit bill earlier this week. The European Parliament will vote on the agreement on 29 January.
Downing Street officials said the PM marked the document with a Parker fountain pen, as is traditional for ceremonial signings in No 10.
It was witnessed by EU and Foreign Office officials, including the PM's Chief Negotiator David Frost, and Downing Street staff.
"The signing is a fantastic moment, which finally delivers the result of the 2016 referendum and brings to an end far too many years of argument and division," Mr Johnson said.
"We can now move forward as one country - with a government focused upon delivering better public services, greater opportunity and unleashing the potential of every corner of our brilliant UK, while building a strong new relationship with the EU as friends and sovereign equals."
Earlier on Friday, the document crossed the channel on a Eurostar train, having been signed in Brussels by the European Council's president Charles Michel and the European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen.
The UK will keep a copy of the agreement while the original will return to Brussels, where it will be stored in an archive along with other historic international agreements.
Next week's European Parliament vote is seen as all but a formality, after it was backed by the parliament's constitutional affairs committee on Thursday.
Mrs von der Leyen and other senior EU figures are sceptical about the UK government's plan to negotiate a comprehensive deal on future relations before the end of 2020. They believe the timetable for that is too tight.
But Prime Minister Boris Johnson is upbeat, insisting the UK can now move forward after years of wrangling over Brexit.
Mr Michel, the former Belgian Prime Minister who chairs EU summits, said in a tweet: "Things will inevitably change but our friendship will remain. We start a new chapter as partners and allies."
P.S: The global importance of United Kingdom has just ended. Bye..Bye...Britannia
I hadn't realized that Narayana Murthy's son-in-law was a rabid Brexiteer ..
Above is a headline given to an FB friend to a post.
My apologies that sitting in India it is very difficult to fathom Brexit. Even post facto. Kindly help me from Muslim perspective and kindly do be brief.
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
