السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

From wikipedia Political Social Engineering means

Quote:
Social engineering is a discipline in social science that refers to efforts to influence particular attitudes and social behaviours on a large scale, whether by governments, media or private groups in order to produce desired characteristics in a target population.

Since 911 the west has increased it's efforts to engineer the way Muslims think, act and behave. Especially for those living in the west.

This has resulted in large mentality shifts amongst Muslims, with many new innovations and innovative groups, individuals and ideas appearing.

Ethics and values of Muslims have undergone major changes in ways that takes a person further from Allah and the sunnah.

These individuals and groups are nothing but victims of social engineering and a relentless psychological warfare.

To counter this, I think it will be beneficial to have an essential reading collection of articles and books that are able to open the Muslim mind, give a counter narrative and at the very least, minimise the social engineering. There is much of this type of material already written, scattered around the web and in books by many different people.

The reading material should, ideally, have very little to do with principles of fiqh, Aqeedah or tazkiyah.

It should be more to do with developing a strong resolve and a firm mentality rather than an apologetic and submissive one. A mentality that sets the narrative and draws the line, rather than one that meekly follows and easily abandons.

Here's a few to start.

Reading that article a few days ago was when I first came to the understanding that we are in the midst of serious social engineering problem.

The article highlights the problem, however we need a solution. Otherwise we will see this get worse and worse over the next few years.

I cannot think of any solution other than to recommend people read or listen to certain pieces that will make them more aware and not easily fall prey to the false ideas being engineered.

Hence a recommended reading list.
