Moon Sighting News from Morocco

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh

Wifaqul Ulama together and in consultation with Batley Moon Sighting Committee make the decision for the start of Islamic Months based on Moonsighting in UK (primary) and Morocco (secondary). Please note that the decision is not necessarily always based on Morocco (every month).

Department of Islamic Affairs officially notifies the British Ulama by fax monthly and a copy of the faxes has now been added for the last 2 years.

Please note that there is no 12 Hour delay of receiving the news from Morocco at all and it can be clearly seen from the date/time of the faxes for the past 2 years.
