British Muslims & their stance on Ahmadis

Asslamo Allaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,

Wifaqul Ulama has produced the following press statement in support of our dear friend and colleague (Shaykh) Suliman Gani. We urge British Muslims to stand by and support a decent, upright Scholar against the politics of fear mongering. It is your job as a Muslim to stand up for a Muslim, particular for a Scholar who has tirelessly worked for the Muslim community for years.

We urge you to favor and retweet to show your solidarity.

Wifaqul Ulama is working to preserve the Sunnah, earn rewards and preserve your hereafter doing the same.

Unequivocal support for Suliman Gani:

We begin with stating our general agreement with "Muslim leaders’ statement defending Sh Suliman Gani" issued on the 20th of April 2016.

We acknowledge the BBC tweet which corrected a statement made by a tv presenter, but do not feel this was a clear enough apology for the distress caused.

We (the British Scholars) know Imam Suliman Gani as a humble man who subscribes to pluralism and peaceful coexistence. His services to society in Britain include bringing together people within the community, a commitment to interfaith dialogue, his track record on this speaks for itself. Imam Gani has worked with people of all faiths and none, on issues related to civil and civic rights, due to his deeply held convictions in ensuring justice for all.

That BBC tweet is not even a real apology...I hope Shaykh Sulaiman Ghani keeps up the pressure via his legal team until he gets a full and unequivocal apology.

No I wasnt expecting an apology at all... point is they've made a half hearted apology as a face saving measure hoping the issue will go away, and if they are questioned they will say "The BBC has indeed apologised to mr Suliman Ghani for any distress caused".

Point is Muslims, seem to fall for this kind of trick regularly, I remember when the MP Jack Straw made a non-apology concerning his racist remarks about Pakistanis some years ago instead of apologising he said, " I apologies if my choice of words caused any offence". Some of his local muslim constituents were on radio "oh he has apologised, we should move on".

So Shaykh Ghani stand your ground no backing down, indeed sue for compensation.

I think Donald Trump has been a game changer..The Islamaphobes in the establishment have looked across the Ocean and seen that to Villify Muslims openly and blatantly is now officially cool and a vote winner. They no longer need to utter such rhetoric with muttered breath or behind closed doors...!

They can do it openly with impunity and with full support of the public.

The First Muslim Woman and the First Black Woman to be elected President of the National Union of Students has been treated even worse then Shaykh Suliman Ghani over the last week ... www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2016/apr/24/new-nus-pre...

I think the title Mr. is a farce. They are having a laugh and not acknowledging that he is a "Minister of Religion" and should be addressed with respect.

If it was a priest, they would use rev, father or something similar. If it was a Rabbi, they would address him accordingly. Neither would be called Mr.

If they cant say Shaykh, then at least say Imam!

What are the options for Imam Suliman Gani?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh

On the 20th of April 2016, our Prime Minister David Cameron while responding to Christopher John Pincher (MP for Tamworth) said:

"The leader of the Labour party says it is disgraceful, so let me tell him: Sadiq Khan has appeared on a platform with Suliman Gani nine times; this man supports IS. He even shared a platform—[Interruption.] The Opposition are shouting down this point because they do not want to hear the truth. Anyone can make a mistake about who they appear on a platform with, and we are not always responsible for what our political opponents say, but if someone does it time after time after time, it is right to question their judgment."

We know that this is an UNTRUTH!

here is BBCs pathetic response to my complain regarding racist pig andrew neil calling shaykh suliman a IS supporter

Dear Mr

Reference CAS-3796278-LWXQM4

Thanks for contacting us regarding ‘London's Mayor: the Big Debate’ on 18 April.

We note your concerns about the broadcast and please know that a correction was published on the following page:

www.bbc.co.uk/helpandfeedback/corrections_clarifications

“22 April 2016: London’s Mayor: The Big Debate, BBC One London (broadcast 18 April 2016)

“On the BBC’s London Mayoral Debate programme on Monday night, our presenter Andrew Neil described Suliman Gani as being a supporter of Islamic State, rather than a supporter of an Islamic state as he intended. We apologise to Mr Gani for this error and any distress caused.”

We trust this allays your concerns and please know that we’ve also included your points in our overnight reports. These reports are among the most widely read sources of feedback in the BBC ensuring that complaints are seen quickly by the right people.

Kind regards

Stuart Webb

I've received the same response from the BBC this is standard procedure hoping that you and your complaint will go away best way to address this is by refusing to go away... re-register your complaint citing the original reference number of your complaint, you can just copy and paste the following or use it as a template.

The response given by your complaints department was fairly pathetic and whats worse is that it was plagiarised from David Camerons Spokeswoman,.. Cameron repeated these defamatory accusations made by Andrew Neill against Suliman Gani in Parliament, when his Spokeswoman was asked to provide evidence, for these accusations she responded with; "The Prime Minister described Suliman Gani as being a supporter of Islamic State, rather than a supporter of an Islamic state as he intended." So why has the BBC simply plagiarised and repeated the pathetic excuse given by Camerons Spokesperson? Why have you failed to seriously address the defamatory remarks made by Mr. Neill which are in clear violation of the BBCs own Producers guidelines? The Fact is Mr.Neill clearly and unequivocally without ambiguity, labelled Suliman Gani an "extremist", and an "unsavoury character" who supported "Islamic State", if the BBC is going to maintain that Mr.Neill intended to say 'Supporter of "an" Islamic state'..This is worse then the original accusation, the BBC by default is saying that any Muslim who supports"AN" Islamic state, is an extremist. Would the BBC label Jews who support the 'Jewish State' of Israel as extremists? Why are you then labelling all Muslims around the world who support "AN" Islamic state as being extremist? Frankly the Instituitionalised Islamaphobia within the BBC is shocking, Muslims being villified, demonised, dehumanised on a regular basis, and when complaints are made we receive, arrogant and pathetic responses from the Complaints Dept,it seems Islamaphobia is endemic in all branches of the the BBC including the executive board and the BBC trust. ...What is absolutely, clear is that the BBC far from being 'impartial' fully encourages, promotes, endorses, and defends Islamaphobia as a matter of internal Editorial Policy.

this is their reply again. i was a little harsh calling for that fat prat to be sacked lol

Dear Mr

This is a standard response to explain that we have read your complaint but consider its tone and language to be unacceptably abusive or offensive. We therefore feel unable to circulate it more widely to our colleagues for consideration and further reply.

Our complaints procedures outline expectations for both sides to keep to in order that the complaints procedure can operate effectively and in good faith. This is summarised on our website as follows:

“When handling your complaint we will treat you courteously and with respect. We expect you to show equal courtesy and respect towards our staff and reserve the right to discontinue correspondence if you do not.”

For more detail please read the full complaints procedures which are available at

www.bbc.co.uk/bbctrust/governance/complaints_framework/

If you would like us to reply to your complaint, we would be grateful if you would resubmit it using more acceptable language within the next week, quoting any case number we have provided, so that we can then circulate it to staff and reply to you.

Thanks again for taking the time to contact us.

I don't see the need to ever be abusive.

What kind of character are we supposed to portray?

Exactly! the character of our Beloved (saw)

Don't give these people the chance to mock the followers of the greatest man ever (saw)
