News on Hazrat mufti Faruq meerathi Saheb:

Hazrat mufti saheb's photo has been provided by the authorities.

We have to say with great sadness that he has returned to the mercy of Allah swt.

انا لله و انا اليه راجعون
ان لله ما أخذ وله ما أعطي و كل عنده بأجل مسمي

He died as a shaheed, in the state of ihraam. He was buried on the 13th of dhul hijjah, in Makkah mukarramah.

Hazrat's companion who survived said that Hazrat kept reciting
لا اله الا الله
And
لبيك اللهم لبيك
Until his voice faded away

May Allah shower immense rahmah upon Hazrat's grave and give sabre Jameel to his family and all connected to him, Ameen

We request you not to circulate his photo after death, as Hazrat was very strict in matter of tasweer during his lifetime.

We also request that you read some Quran for Hazrat and give some sadaqah on his behalf

Wa-alaikumus salaam warahmatullahi wabarakaatuh.
The news of Mufti Farooq Saheb Meerathi having passed on has not been confirmed by his immediate family. In fact Mufti Saheb's brother in Meerath has expressed reservations and is NOT convinced that the photograph of Mufti Saheb's circulated by the Indian Consulate is in fact that of Mufti Saheb. Is it not strange that the companion who related that Mufti Farooq Saheb was reciting the Kalimah and Labbaik "until his voice faded" remained silent about it and has only divulged this information about 15 days after he was buried on the 13th of Zhul Hijjah? Where was this companion all these days? Moulana Ebrahim Pandor Saheb of South Africa who was the special khadim/aide of Hazrat Mufti Mahmood Saheb Gangohi (R.A.) and also very close to Mufti Farooq Saheb has politely requested that such rumours should not be circulated until verified by Mufti Saheb's immediate family and associates. I have some sweet memories associated with Mufti Sahab (RA). My young Mufti friend called his family and says that the family has now accepted the sad reality. May Allah (SWT) elevate the status of Mufti Farooq Khan Sahab (NM).
