Certainly they are the concern of the Ummah because they are the Ummah's beating heart. They are doctors of the sick hearts and wounded souls. Certainly they are leaders of the Ummah. Those who, hearts gather together, and souls harmonize around them. They invite people to it night and day. Islam started as a stranger and will return to being a stranger so glad tidings for the strange ones. For us to live with a model and example in the time of strangeness. So we can go to the casket with those who are grasping onto burning coals. To live with out hearts and souls with those who struggle and go out in the path of Allah. Those who make Hijrah for the purpose of Aqeedah throughout the east and west of the world.

By Allah, I certainly see on the horizon, their blessed crowds. They go from country to country and from town to town. Those who make Hijrah for the purpose of Aqeedah. To fulfill the Hadith of Rasulullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam. This Deen will spread just like the night and day. We see them in groups. They go out for Da'wah to Allah. Brothers who love one another. They remind us of the Muhajireen and Ansar. They kick the world with their feet. They come to Allah in hurry. Their bodies walk the earth as if they are Malaa'ikah. Hearts flutter around the 'Arsh. They reach out to the sinners and pass (their hands) over the heads of the orphans and needy. They decrease near greed and increase near (those who have) dismay. They know the Truth and show mercy to the creation. They call towards good and forbid from evil with wisdom and beautiful counsel. They call towards Allah...glad tidings for them. They prefer (others) above themselves even though are themselves in need.

To be continued

I request those 'Ulama and brothers who have helped me in translating the book to continue to contribute, because it is appreciated,

This is not praise and laudation for those who go out in the path of Allah for Da'wah, but certainly it is the methodology that is written in the book of Allah 'azza wa jall ((These are people who, if We grant them authority on earth, they establish salah, pay zakah, enjoin good and forbid evil. The result of all deeds rest with Allah)) Surah Hajj: 41. Certainly the one who recieves this Deen and spreads (it) like the spreading of night and day, by a great honor or by a humiliating debasement. So all praise is for Allah, The One and Unique, who does not forget anyone from his bounties.

I praise Him, He is pure from all defects who strengthened me and gave me ability to compile principles for reviving the effort of Da'wah and Tabligh in this book titled, (Comprehensive principles for reviving the effort of Rasool Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam). Since I began compiling, organizing, and refining this book from the books of respected 'Ulamaa and sayings of 'Ulamaa and Mashaa'ikh in Da'awah and Tabligh in an easy and abridged way, so it can be a provision and a help for those who give Da'wah and go out in the path of Allah Ta'ala. I ask Allah that He make the book a help for every Muslim and a way to connect to the effort of Rasulullah Sallallahu 'alahi wa sallam. I am asking Allah Ta'aala to place it in excellent acceptance and make it only for His sake and that He make the hearts of the people inclined towards it. Read, benefit from, and spread it for Allah Ta'ala.

Allah is praised and for Him is all strength that He gave me the ability to compile it (this book) and made it easy upon me and assisted me and favored me with its completion. So for Him is all praise, gratitude, bounties and thanks. And I am trebling from the Grace of Allah...an invitation to a pious brother that is beneficial for me, through which I get closer to Allah the Most Noble. For the Muslim who is willing to utilize some good from it (this book)...I will be an assistant for him to good deeds with the pleasure of our Rabb and to enliven the the Sunnah of our beloved, our master, our intercessor; Muhammad Sallahu 'alaihi wa sallam. And I commit myself to Allah, The Most Generous, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful and to my father and all our loved brothers and those who are the best of us and all the Muslims: our Deen and our Ummah and the sealing state of our deeds and all of Allah's bounties on us. I ask Him (Allah) Who is free from all defects, for all of us, for manners of the path of guidance and protection and that He grant us abililty in our words and actions. Certainly He is Generous, Vast in His Knowledge and Goodness, (and is) the Most Generous Bestower...

Going out in the Path of Allah

A morning or an evening spent in the Path of Allah is better than the world and all that it contains. (Bukhari)

It is not for the Mu'minin to proceed all together. Why does a small group from every large party not proceed to attain a deep understanding of Deen so that they may warn their people when they return to them so that they may beware.

Taubah: 122

Benefits of Da'wah towards Allah

Allah Ta'ala said:Whose words can be better than the one who calls towards Allah, who performs righteous deeds, and says, 'I am from the Muslims.'
Fussilat:33

  • Allah Ta'ala is pleased with the one who calls towards Him

  • Harmony and love spread amongst people

  • Many people enter into Deen (embrace Islam)

  • There will be blessings in the life and sustenance of the one who calls (towards Allah)

  • Punishment is raised from the people: It is not of your Rabb to destroy cities unjustly when their inhabitants engaged in reformation.
    Hud: 117

  • An excuse in front of Allah on Yawmul Qiyamah: They replied, "To be absolved of guilt before your Rabb and so that they may abstain
    A'raf: 164

  • Arranged rewards for the one who calls towards Allah, according to the people's response to him

  • Salvation when punishment descends: ...We saved those who used to forbid evil...
    A'raf:165

Purposes of Da'wah and Tabligh

Allah Ta'aala said:You are the best of all nations who have been raised for mankind. You command what is right, forbid from evil and believe in Allah.
Aali 'Imran:110

Allah Ta'aala said: These are people who, if We grant them authority on earth, they establish salah, pay zakah, enjoin good and forbid evil. The result of all deeds rest with Allah.
Hajj:41

  • Awakening the Ummah's feeling and awareness of its responsibility

  • Returning the Ummah back to its field of effort; calling towards Allah

  • Preparing the Ummah for the fulfillment of its job of making effort amongst the Muslims

  • Preparing the Ummah and its sending (of Muslims) to all of creation like in the first period (of Islam)

Hidayaat (guidance) for going out in the Path of Allah

O you who have Imaan! Shall I not show you a trade that will save you from a painful punishment? Believe in Allah and His Rasool (Sallallahu 'alahi wa sallam) and strive in Allah's Path with your wealth and lives. This is best for you if you but knew. Allah shall forgive your sins and enter you into Jannaat beneath which rivers flow and into wonderful mansions in the eternal Jannah. That is the supreme success. Another bounty that you love is help from Allah and a near victory. Give good news to the Mu'mineen.

Saff: 9-12

By the soul and the One who perfected it...and then inspired it with evil and piety. Undoubtedly, the one who purified it has succeeded.

Shams: 6-9

Manners of going out in the Path of Allah

We go out with our own selves and wealth and we do not appoint anyone else (on our behalf) to go out in the Path of Allah, because the purpose of going out is reforming and purifying the Nafs.

Four matters those going out in the Path of Allah should busy themselves in

1- Calling towards Allah (which has four parts)

1 Collective Da'wah
2 Individual Da'wah
3 Common Da'wah
4 Special Da'wah

2- Teaching and learning (Ta'leem wat-Ta'allum)

Allah Ta'aala said: Say "O my Rabb! Increase my knowldge." Taha:114

1 Collective Ta'leem in the gathering of Ta'leem
2 Individual Ta'leem, one person teaching another

3- Worship

Allah Ta'aala said: ...And worship your Rabb until the certainty comes to you.
Hijr: 99

Like Salaah, Dhikr, Du'aa, and reciting the Qur'an.

4- Khidmah (service/helping others)

Rasulullah Sallahu 'alaihi wa sallam said: Allah keeps helping a man so long as he keeps helping his brother. (Musnad Ahmad)

1 Khidmah of oneself
2 khidmah of the Jamaa'ah (group) that is out in the Path of Allah
3 Khidmah of the Amir (the responsible person) of the Jamaa'ah
4 Khidmah for the one who needs khidmah

Four matters we do not engage ourselves with while out in the Path of Allah

-1 Politics:

We do not engage ourselves in (discussions of) politics during the time we are out...the one going out in the Path of Allah leaves his home and family like a sickly person who leaves the permissible food for a prescribed period of time. He will then go back to the food at another time. We have now come out for a purpose, and that is purifying the Nafs and reforming the heart...

-2 Sicknesses of the Ummah:

Sicknesses of the Ummah is its widespread disobedience in the form of major and minor sins. So we do not say, "The people are ruined because they are like this and are like that.." It may be that we drag our talk into backbiting them and have discussions against their honor. Rasulullah Sallahu 'alahi wa sallam said: He who says the people are ruined, he himself is the most ruined of them all. Rather we strive to reform them with wisdom and beautiful counsel.

-3 Differences in Fiqhi Masaa'il (jurisprudencial law)

The meaning of differences in Masaa'il have been clarified by the Fuqahaa' (jurists) and the scholars of the (four) schools of thought such as Imam Maalik, Imam Abu Hanifah, Imam Shafi'i and Imam Ahmad Rahimahumullah. So if a Mujtahid errs in his judgement he receives one reward and if he is correct (in his judgement), he receives two rewards. We do not have Ta'assub (fanaticism) for any one of them because they all took from the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger and they said, "If a Hadith is authentic, then it is my Madhhab."* So we follow the proof where ever it points to, and Allah has (pointed) commanded us not to be a cause of damage and has prohibited us from making differences. Allah Ta'aala said: Hold fast to the rope of Allah, all of you together, and do not separate. :Aali Imraan: 103

-4 Jidaal (quarreling/debating)

We stay away from quarreling as much as possible because it is best to leave it according to the saying of Rasulullah Sallahu 'alaihi wa sallam: I guarantee an abode on the boundary of Jannah for him who gives up a quarrel, even if he is right. (Abu Dawud) And if it is unavoidable, then it should be done with wisdom according to what Allah has said: Call to the path of your Rabb with wisdom and beautiful counsel and debate with them in a manner that is best. Nahl: 125

*
Imam Nawawi Rahmatullahi 'alaih states: "What Imam Shafi'i Rahmatullahi 'alaih said does not imply that anyone may find an authentic Hadith and claim that it is the Madhhab of Imam Shafi'i, and thereby go ahead by practicing upon its apparent meaning. This statement is only directed to those who have reached the degree of ijtihaad in the Madhhab.

For matters those going out in the Path of Allah commit themselves to

1- Sabr (patience) and Tahammul (forbearance)

It is absolutely necessary for the one out in the Path of Allah to exercise Sabr and Tahammul with whatever he (his Nafs) opposes in the path of learning Deen and Da'wah to Allah. He (should) believe in receiving rewards (for exercising Sabr and Tahammul) from Allah.

Allah Ta'aala says:

O you who have Imaan! Exercise Sabr, compete in patience, continue doing good deeds and fear Allah so that you may be successful.

Aali Imraan: 200

2- Revering the Masajid

The Masajid are the places most liked by Allah because they are built for the Dhikr of Allah and His worship and for establishing Deen. Allah Ta'aala said:

In houses (Masajid) which Allah has commanded that they be exalted and that His name be taken in them, they glorify Him morning and evening. Men whom neither trade nor commerce distracts from the Dhikr of Allah, the establishment of salaah and the paying of zakaah. They fear a day when their hearts and will be overturned.

Nur: 36-37

Those going out in the Path of Allah establish themselves in Masajid, so their sitting, sleeping and eating therein must be with reverence and high manners.

3- Obedience to the Ameer

It is absolutely necessary for the jama'ah that is out to have an Ameer otherwise there will be chaos and the purpose (for going out) will not be achieved. Rasulullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam said: when three persons set out on a journey, they must make one of them as their Ameer. (Abu Dawud) Umar Radhiyallah 'anhu said: if there are three persons on a journey, they must make one of them as their Ameer. That Ameer is what Rasulullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam ordered.

4- Preferring collective good deeds over individual good deeds

In other words, we give preference to the good deeds that are done collectively, like Jawlah, the gathering of Ta'leem, and Bayan (talks) over individual good deeds, if they clash with each other, because collective deeds (a'maal ijtimaa'i) have more reward...which is our purpose for training.

Four matters those who go out in the Path of Allah should stay away from

1-Israaf (extravagance)

It is exceeding the limit of sufficiency in food, drink, clothing and other things from among the necessities. Allah Ta’aala said: O children of Aadam! Adopt your beauty at every place of salaah. Eat, drink but do not waste for indeed He (Allah) does not like those who waste. A’raaf: 31

2-Ishraaf

It is to want what people have from the things of this world and desire that they give you something from it. Rasulullah Sallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said: If Allah sends you sustenance without you having asked for it and without you feeling Ishraaf , then take it, for certainly Allah has given it to you. And Rasulullah Sallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said: This wealth looks desirable and sweet. He who receives it with a generous heart will be blessed in it, but he who receives it with Ishraaf will not be blessed in it. He would be like one (suffering from a disease) who goes on eating without being satisfied. And the upper hand is better than the lower hand (The hand of one who gives is better than that one who receives it).

3-Asking (of others)

It is asking people for material things of this world without a pressing need. Rasulullah Sallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said: A man keeps on asking until he meets Allah with no flesh on his face. He Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam also said: Asking (of others) is a burden by which one wears out the brightness of his face, unless if he asks a ruler, or about something that is absolutely necessary. (Abu Dawud)

4-Using someone's property without his permission

It is using property without the permission of its owner. This is a violation of what a person owns. Therefore, it is forbidden. Rasulullah Sallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said: All things of a Muslim are inviolable for his brother in faith: his blood (i.e. his life), his property, and his honor. (Muslim)

[Sulaiman84 - Post #26:]

Four matters those going out in the Path of Allah compete in

1- The first row of Salaah (in congregation)

It has been established in an authentic narration that Rasulullah Sallahu 'alaihi wa sallam said: Will you not form rows like the Mala'ikah form rows in front of their Rabb? They said: O Rasulullah! How do the Mala'ikah form rows in front of their Rabb? He replied: Those who are first to fill in the gaps and align themselves in the row. It has also been authentically established that he (Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said: If people knew what blessings lie in the adhan and the first row, and could not acheive this (distinction) except by casting losts, they would certainly do so. (Bukhari) It is also established in an authentic narration that: The first row of Salaah amongst the men is most rewarding and the last is the least; whereas the last rows of Salaah amongst the women are the most rewarding and the first the least. (Muslim)

2- I'laan (announcement) for the Bayan

It is the general announcement for those who attend the Masjid and it will usually be after Maghrib Salaah. To make the I'laan, one brother from the Jama'ah stands up after the obligatory Salaah - who has been chosen (for the task) from the daily Mashura - He praises Allah and sends Salawaat on Rasulullah (Sallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) and says: Certainly, our temporary and everlasting success in this world and Hereafter lies in obeying the commandments of Allah and the way of Rasulullah Sallahu 'alaihi wa sallam. We sit patiently for some time after the Sunnah and listen to the talk of Deen and Imaan. Jazakumullahu khairan.

3- Khidmah

It is Khidmah for the jama'ah that is out according to the saying of Nabi Sallahu 'alahi wa sallam: Those not fasting have earned all the reward today.*

*
(Anas Radhiyallahu 'anhu narrates that we were with Nabi Sallahu 'alaihi wa sallam; the one amongst us who used his own sheet for shade has the maximum shade. Those who were fasting could not do any work. And those who were not fasting, arose and set up the tents, watered the animals, and did all the painstaking hard work.) Nabi Sallahu 'alahi wa sallam said: Those not fasting have earned all the reward today. (Bukhari)

4- Standing up at night (in Tahajjud Salaah)

It is the honor of the believer through which he connects to his Rabb, intimately conversing with, supplicating to, and seeking His forgiveness. It is also the habitual practice of the righteous. Little was it that they sleep at night (because they devoted their nights to worshipping Allah) Dhariyaat: 17. Rasulullah Sallallahu 'alahi wa sallam used to stand (in Salaah) until his feet became cracked, in gratitude to Allah The Exalted and Majestic.

I finally got my comp fixed so now I don't have to operate from just the iphone anymore. Due to a few apps, I should be able to translate a little faster, I still request 'Ulama and ahbab like Mufti Husein, godilali, al_Zayn etc. to help a brother out by fine tuning any grammatical or vocabulary inaccuracies that they may come across. wa jazakumullahu khairan.

Four matters we lessen (while out in the path of Allah) or do according to necessity

1) Talk:

Talking is either for us or against us, so we lessen the talk wherein there is no benefit. Our talking should be in the Dhikr of Allah and giving da'wah to Him, and enjoining good and forbidding evil.

Allah Ta'ala says:

There is no good in most of their secret consultations except in him who instructs charity, a good deed our reconciliation between people. Whoever does this seeking Allah's pleasure, We shall soon grant him an immense reward.

Nisa: 114

2) Food:

We eat food according to necessity and we do not increase our intake of food.

Rasulullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam said: (No human ever filled a vessel worse than the stomach. Sufficient for any son of Adam are some morsels to keep his back straight. But if it must be, then one third for his food, one third for his drink and one third for his breath.)

Ahmad

3) Sleep:

We sleep according to necessity and we do not increase our sleep because sleeping for a little is a quality of the pious.

Allah Ta'ala says:

Little was it that they slept at night. During the closing portions of the night they would be seeking forgiveness.

Dhariyat: 17-18

Ibnul Qayyim rahimahullah says: Among the things that corrupt the heart is too much sleep, for it certainly kills the heart, burdens the body, wastes time, and causes much negligence and laziness.

4) Fulfilling necessities:

We do not waste our time in fulfilling necessities because time is precious and is the leading capitol of going out in the path of Allah. If we want (to fulfill) something from the necessities, then (it should be done) quickly and from the closest of places. We busy our time in the obedience of Allah and with what draws us near to Him.

Guidance for going out in the path of Allah.

  • We go out in the path of Allah Ta'ala with the desire to get the pleasure of Allah Ta'ala; with sincere intention.

  • We go out in the path of Allah Ta'ala for training and reforming the Nafs.

  • We make du'a to Allah that He give us the concern for training (ourselves).

  • We spend (our wealth) while out (in the path of Allah) generously with a pleasant heart but without being extravagant.

  • We invest our time and busy every minute in (doing) righteous actions.

  • The one going out in the path of Allah occupies himself with four actions ( Da'wah to Allah, Ta'lim & Ta'allum, Dhikr & Ibadah and khidmah)

  • We go out (with the feeling that we are) in need of Allah and with the concern of Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alaihi wa sallam.

  • Going out (in the path of Allah) for understanding in Deen and encouragement for people to have understanding in Deen.

  • We go out in the path of Allah Ta'ala for acquiring qualities and we encourage people so that they may go out in the path of Allah until they acquire qualities.

  • Effort will be (made) on the Nafs, effort on the people of the locality and effort on our new beloved brothers (who are out in the path of Allah).

  • The entire jama'ah is responsible for (their) time in out in the path of Allah.

  • the one who is made responsible (the Amir of the jama'ah) is kind with (brothers in) the jama'ah but takes notice of the time (spent).

  • Obedience to the one responsible (the Amir) and consulting with him in every small and big matter.

  • Giving importance to (doing) righteous actions in the Amir's presence and absence.

  • The Amir raises the morale of the brothers with good news while deficiencies are treated by Allah through individual righteous actions.

  • We do not go to food and sleep with ishraf.

  • We do not forget to make mudhakarat (reminders) of the purpose (of going out in the path of Allah) or to make du'a for a locality before entering the locality.

  • You take the full ahwal (report/karguzari) from those who are doing your Nusrah with love and not in an interrogating way.

  • Acquiring the love from the people of the locality is a must.

  • We take the readiness (to give Nusrah) from the people of the locality on a daily basis.

  • After the Bayan we mix with the local people for introducing and explaining (the work of da'wah and tabligh).

  • We repeat the da'wah of Iman and Yaqin daily and we negate the effect of material things and affirm the effect of the One Allah who has no partners.

  • If we spend the night in homes we observe the respect of homes and commitment to Adab therein

  1. Leaving the house for Salah before the adhan or at least during the adhan.

  2. Giving importance to Khidmah, especially washing the dishes and not leaving them for the people of the house to wash them.

  3. We spread out in different Masajid and we do not gather together in one Masjid in order that several duties (may be carried out).

  • Adherence to the time of collective A'mal and not to preoccupy ourselves (with things) against its Adab.

  • The collective A'mal are: Mashura, Ta'lim, Salah, Jawlah, Bayan, food and sleep.

  • The individual A'mal are: (reciting) Qur'an, Adhkar, Nawafil (Salah), renewing (your) intention, individual Ta'lim, individual Da'wah, Du'a and self accountability.

  • Always engaging the jama'ah in the purpose and reward for which it has went out.

  • Not delving into politics, difference of opinion in (the four madhahib of) fiqh, the sicknesses of the ummah and argumentation.

  • We practice taking less food, sleep and talk unless it (the talk) is in the Dhikr of Allah.

  • We stay away from extravagance, desiring the worldly things of others, asking of others and using another's personal property without permission.

  • We use the time for individual A'mal when completing the daily part (of collective A'mal) with Dhikr, Ta'lim and Ta'allum of the qualities (of sahabah) and (fulfilling) some necessities.

  • We tashkeel the people for four months while having sincere intention from inside for the reality of that ( i.e. going out for four months)
