India

Maulana Mehmood Madani is making fool of himself by taking his Saffron appeasement to unacceptable levels.

After the Kashmir clamp down he went to Geneva, out of all places, to do a press conference to tell the world that Kashmir is an integral part of India.

Then he said that he does not want Muslims coming to India - he said this in the context of National Register of Citizen, an exercise by the BJP/RSS/Saffron government to throw out Bengali Muslims from West Bengal in India under the pretax of Bangladeshis.

Pakistan

Maulana Fazl-ur-Rahman is exposing his negative side first by talking nonsense about Prime Minister Imran Khan's UNGA speech and now planning a march and demonstration in Azad Kashmir against Imran Khan's policies.

I am completely disappointed with the policies of both of these Maulawis and they have lost all respect in my views.

Assalam u Alaikum Professor Sahab!

By nature I am a loner so I don't know the exact condition of what the majority of ummah is thinking. Since you are a person far surpassed in wisdom and knowledge, I would like to ask that is the majority of this ummah interested in and wants true Khilafah?

If yes, then I have hopes that all the muslimeen no matter which effort they are engaged in will try their best to get expertise in their respective fields (science, technology, theology, social sciences, media, military etc) in order to prepare the grounds for those few who will actively participate in creating a true global khilafah state. This is because people aspire to be the best if they have a higher goal for themselves, motivating them to go to their utmost limits of perfection and capacity.

If not, then I firmly believe that the ummah at large is not going to be motivated enough to do something positive about their declining condition (even after realizing that their space is being encroached by the kuffar). To do something you need to be motivated enough to take the necessary steps and motivation comes after gaining a correct mindset (correct aqaid in regards to life and purpose of momineen in both of the worlds [especially this dunia]).

What is your analysis in this regards? I hope you are getting my point what I am trying to say for so long. Is my assessment correct or incorrect? Please explain the reasons too as I would be glad to have your feedback as I respect your seriousness and sincerity.

MPLB on Women Entry to Mosques

Women can offer prayers at mosques, ignore any fatwa barring entry: Muslim Personal Law Board

Clearly Deobandi Ulama are part of the board.

And they tell me Hadith where women will get equal Thawab for praying at home.

And then I have to defend Deoband and Islam every where.

I suppose I have had enough of it.

This ummah will rise up when inevitably their dunya is taken away and they have no more choices left, and when they are all united under one just, Allah fearing leader. Before that those who have comfort will not want to give it away, and those who are persecuted will remain in disarray.

Assalamu alaikum

I was just browsing through latest posts and saw this post. I will take the oppurtunity to post these latest "fatwas". According to the Hanafi madhab, the masjid should not ban women even though the madhab says it is makruh tahrimi for them to leave home to go to the Masjid (and other venues as well). See references quoted at botom.

Facilities for women in Masjids by Mufti Taqi Uthmani:

ONE:

Quote:
I [Maulana Yusuf Shabbir] asked Mufti [Taqi Utmani] Ṣāḥib regarding Masjids in the UK and whether they should have facilities for women, highlighting the reality that women are routinely leaving the homes for jobs, mastūrāt jamāʿat, local taʿlīm, Masjid programmes, ʿĀlimah classes, boarding madrasahs, shopping, events and for a variety of other reasons. Many a times they will be present in the Masjid hall due to a programme but will not join in the Ṣalāh. Mufti Ṣāḥib explained that Masjids should definitely have facilities for women. It is a separate matter that they should be encouraged to perform Ṣalāh at home, however, there may be times when they are not at home. Women spending time out of the homes is a reality, and changes in the circumstances of people can impact upon the ruling. I mentioned to Mufti Ṣāḥib that in winter months many women make their Ṣalāh qaḍāʾ and that many female travellers do not have anywhere suitable to perform Ṣalāh. Moreover, if we do not provide segregated facilities for women on our terms, this will be imposed upon us in the future via equality and planning regulations and then we will have limited control on the safeguards. (It should also be noted that Imam Abū Ḥanīfah (d. 150/767) and our earlier hanafi jurists did not advocate that Masjids should not have facilities for women, rather to the contrary, their positions clearly indicate that Masjids should have facilities for women, refer to al-Aṣl, 1:10, 164, 382, 446; and this answer: ).

Quote:
Mufti Taqi Uthmani Ṣāḥib said, “If women happen to be in the Masjid for a religious programme for example, it is permissible for them to perform Ṣalāh behind the Imam.”

Question

A family on a journey stop for Ṣalāh at a local Masjid which has segregated arrangements for women on the balcony of the prayer hall. Can the women perform Ṣalāh behind the local Imam of the Masjid?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم

Answer

It is permissible, and Masjids should make appropriate arrangements.

[Translation of Arabic reference]:
Imam Muhammad said in al Asl (١/٢٨٧): I said: What is your opinion on a traveller leading women in a journey? He said: I dislike for a man that he leads them in a house in which there is no mahram among them to him. I said: What if he leads them in a congregational masjid or in a house and with him is a woman who is mahram to him. He said: There is no problem with that. I said: What is your opinion on a travelling women leading the women? He said: I dislike that. I said: And if they do this? He said it is accepted from them and she stands in the middle of the row. (End of abridged quote)

And he (Imam Muhammad) said (١/١٦٤): I said: What is your opinion on a man leading women and there are no other men with them? He said: If it is a congregational masjid and salah is established in it and he is an Imam and he begins to pray and there are no men with him, and women enter the salah, then there is nothing wrong with this. But if he is in seclusion with them in a house or in a place other than a masjid then certainly I dislike that for him except if there is among them a mahram to them. (End quote) Allah knows best

May Allah bless Mufti Taqi Usman.

There are times when I have been out with the family, and my wife has had to conserve her wudhu and pray outside, in the wet and cold, whilst I have the comfort of the masjid. Where is the hiya in that?

This thread is meant to be a critique.

For the record I consider myself a Deobandi and Deoband's pain is my pain and I rejoice at Deoband's gain.

I rejoice at Taliban success for I consider as a Deoband achievement.

In the Deoband vs Aligarh debate Deoband's gain is Aligarh's loss. And that creates a difficult situation for me.

Any solution?

Limit Aligarh for Duniya education.

Aqeedah and shariah issues, it is deoband. Ignore what ulema say about Sir Syed...

I hear about Aligarh from brothers who are/were associated with Aligarh. And that is also limited to UP. Others!! I have never heard... Why?

Taliban are not "Deobandi" in the sense of "Hazrat Worshippers" at all. Some of them have studied at "Deobandi" affiliated Madaris but Taliban through no stretch of imagination can be strictly called "Deobandees" in the context of your definition. Taliban are neither hardcore Muqallids nor Sufi, nor Hazrat Worshippers nor restricted, nor closed minded in all stretches of definitions, in fact they have no Tasawuff Silsila whatsoever (apart from what Pakistani Deobandees tried to inflict upon them). Another major distinction is Taliban working with Shias, I don't know any major Deobandi, Indian or Pakistani who works so closely with Shias as Taliban do i.e. ministers in their Cabinet etc.

The Afghan Jihad and Taliban are "Deobandi" inspired due to influence of (Pakistani) Deobandi Darul-ulooms and Alhumdolillah.

There is a video which some Hanafi Channel put out a few years ago where they even had Osama Bin Ladin and Shaykh Abdullah Azzam as "Deobandi" so we live in a Democracy as someone can even claim "Donald Trump" to be Deobandi

There are no restrictions on claims.

Since you understand Persian, you should be able to easily understand what he is saying.

Shia Commander with the Taliban testifying the position of Taliban towards Shia, yesterday:

twitter.com/TGhazniwal/status/1252846035396775936

So as I said, Taliban are not "Hazrat Worshipping Deobandees" by any stretch of imagination. They do not agree with "Hazrat Worshipping Deobandees" in terms of Aqaid, Tasawuff or Taqleed etc etc etc

Taliban are mainstream Muslims, although inspired by and Mullah Omar studying under Deobandees. The next/new generation did not even study at Deobandi Institutions...
