Assalamualaikum,need some small clarification.

-should every village try to see the moon by themselves?
-what is the defination of local moon sighting?
-at the time of propheht sw, people of makkah and madina(or other city of saudi) had eid at different day?
-if those day in cities of saudi had eid at diffferent day than makkah then why they follow now makkah?

if there are any link present which answers my question, please share.
