There is a possibility of the hakeem being legit and being an expert and being able to dig up ones medical history by checking his pulse is no big thing in the field of hikmah, and he's right the only changes you make are dietary, however after 4 weeks he'll be able to tell more.

But to generalise it under sihr, muakill, hamzaad, psychological tricks is nothing but absurd to me. As this field has nothing to do with these things, will shoe my friend who's grandad was a famous hakeem so he can have a good chuckle which I'm sure he will when he reads the Generalisations.

You can also learn from expert practitioners and people still do and also at a school and these places have been around from time and students are taught by experts in the field.

W-Salam Brother,

The confusion  is partly created by me by not clarifying that I meant he told me my “past Medical History”. Hikmat doesn’t have a lot to do with piety because its called Unani meaning it has Greek origins and Pulse diagnosis can be learnt via youtube and then practise makes perfect!

All in all not knowledge of Hadeeth but knowledge of "Greek" science.

My Surgeon doesn't need to be pious (or even Muslim) to be an excellent Surgeon; although ofcourse duas matter.

Medicine is making a significant difference in many of the areas which the Hakeem discussed.
