Lol what's black magic got to do with it??

Your either a good hakeem or a rubbish one. The profession itself has nothing to do with black magic.

Not everything is related to sihr jinns etc, sadly many today think it is especially, from the desi community.

The placebo effect is real though. It is one of the reason so many fake amils are successful in their works. The patient has 100% belief that going to the amil will cure them and it does. Many a patient has 100% belief that he/she has magic on them and because of that they are not satisfied of conventional medicine.

1) You go to an Aamil concerning your problems and he amazingly tells you certain things about your past that no one else except yourself would know, before prescribing a course of treatment.

Now there are two explanations either the Aamil in this rare instance, has some special abilities of Kashf acquired through spending hours diligently in zikr. Or the more likely explanation is he is involved in Sihr and his jinns are communicating with your companion jinn who is giving him information about your past.

2) You go to a Hakeem who is amazingly tells you certain things, tells you certain things about your past that no one else except yourself would know, before prescribing a course of treatment

Or the more likely explanation is he is involved in Sihr and his jinns are communicating with your companion jinn who is giving him information about your past.

I think the correlation between the two is perfectly clear....A Jadoogar might decide that it would be financially more rewarding to learn a bit about herbal medicine and masquerade as a Hakeem. You might get other Jadoogars who prefer to masquerade as Aamils for financial reward.

So it is perfectly viable and reasonable that a Jadoogar could be , mesmerising people with his so-called pulse reading powers in the guise of a hakeem.

and if you go to the sub-continent you will hear many stories about the special clairvoyant and psychic abilities of hakeems. If you read the previous posts thoroughly on this thread then you would know we are not simply discussing about someone being a good herbalist or a rubbish herbalist. The topic under discussion is about the special Psychic abilities displayed by certain Hakeems.

IN NAMAL A’MALU BINNIYAT

An a’miril mu’mineena Abi Hafsin ‘Umar Ibn-al-Khataab radhiyallahu anhu qaala: samitu rasulallahi(salallahu alaihi wasallama)yaqulu: “Innamal a’malu binniyati wa innama likul-limriyin ma nawa faman kanat hijratuhu ilallahi wa rasulihi fahijratuhu ilal-lahi wa rasulihi, wa man kanat hijratuhu lidunya yusibuha au-imra-a ti’n yunkihuha fahijratuhu ila ma hajara ilaihi.

DEEDS DEPEND UPON ACTIONS

On the authority of the Cheif of all believers, Abu Hafs’ Umar bin al Khattab’ (radhiyallahu anhu). who said: I heard the messenger of Allah (salallahu alaihi wasallama)saying:
“The rewards of deeds depend on the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended. (in other translations, "Each man shall have what he intended" or "Actions are according to intentions"). Thus he whose migration was for Allah and His messenger, his migration was for Allah and His messenger, and he whose migration was to acheive some worldly benefits to take some woman in marriage, his migration was for that for which he migrated.”

You see, when you intend to be cured by whatever means, you will be cured and be rewarded for it in the hereafter accordingly.

You use the correct method and Jannah awaits you. You use the wrong method, Allah will tell you to go to those whom you seeked help from, hence you go to jahannam :)

Patience has its virtue :)

Keep the niyyah for the sake of Allah and see the results. Don't test the Hakeem with the intention of checking his stuff out as that too will lead to jahannum. It's like asking a mushrik for his evidence of shirk. Or something like that.

Never though about that Jazak'Allah khair for the insight.

Would it not also be more appropiate to first do Istikharah, before going to check out a Hakeem, and then making the intention?

Maybe the problems are Istikharah has been watered down as stated in the post in this thread by Shaykh Humayun Hanif Naqshbandi (db) Which Muadh Khan kindly translated for our benefit www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1...

And Niyyah intention has also been Watered Down, most average people from sub-continent have only heard that you are supposed to Make Niyyah before reading your Salah, totally oblivious to the fact that you can and should make niyyah for the sake Of Allah in all situations.

Brother I see your point and where your coming from, one goes to a hakeem for treatment not for him to start guessing at your past or what you did etc. Secondly the medicine of 'hikmat' has nothing to do with Jinns, muakill, amaliyat, grave worshipping, sifli amal, etc

When you go to a doctor, you don't ask him about life advice do you do? And if he started to tell you about your past life, you'll run a mile or tell him to be quiet.

The people who masquerade like this have give the profession a bad name, there's doctors who abuse kids, are all paedophile? Even ulema and so called piir babas have done so, does that mean all are frauds/pedophiles? No certainly not it's just a mere generalisation and frauds trying to show they are legit when they aren't.

There is nothing psychic about 'pulse reading', this type of medicine is the oldest medicine and has been around for centuries since the start of time. The medicine we have today is fairly new and it also has many limitations.

In regards to Jinn catching, muakaliat, controlling have your hamzaad etc these are nothing big and anyone can acquire these things, the books of amaliyat are full of techniques for these things, nothing special bro. I've personally met people who control hamzad and then they talk big, people are awed, nothing big brother. Avoid these people that's the best way.

I never used to believe in this medicine till I got treated by one, all I did was tell him this happens and he told me the rest himself about how I feel due to that, exactly spot on, I had severe sleep problems and a few other problems, I did his course and which I weren't allowed no chicken etc, a few weeks later till today alhamdulilah all good.

Most of their techniques come from tibbe nabvi and a lot of hakeem utilise honey, black seed oil, dates, for treatment etc.

The guys you talk about are phoneys and nothing else, lol reminds me of that nut 'peer usman', goes around curing everyone with his foot, YouTube him.

The rest Allah knows best

A uncle of mine from Germany had ' piles', it was bad and every year he had to get an operation done in Germany, this was the only way they knew to remove it.

He visited Pakistan to see his mum (may Allah give her firdaws) he stayed a few months, he visited a legit hakeem who gave him medicine and a diet, within few months alhamdulilah all piles gone and no need for operation.

They are legitimate ones out there.

What is your understanding of Pulse reading? And did you fully read the original post by Bro Muadh?

Because I think we are on a different page here, in classical medicine you went to a herbal doctor he checked your pulse and the years of experience passed from teacher to student would allow the practitioner to feel the most subtle of rhythms in the pulse, from those subtle rhythms he would be able to tell what illness the patient was suffering from, what dietary excess he was partaking in, and what dietary deficiencies were present , additionaly he might also have checked your finger nails to see what kind of discoloration is present on your finger nails, he would ask you to stick out the tongue, and check your tongue to see what kind of discoloration if any is present, similarly he would check your eyeballs to see if there is any discoloration is present in the whiteness of the eyes, he would also check your eyes to see any wax build up in your ears all legitimate methods, practiced over centuries and very precise at diagnosing and treating an illness. And practiced by Herbalists the world over. If this is what you are talking about then no one is disputing it.

I am talking about the traditional Hikmat style of pulse reading which went much further, it was a blessing from Allah and gift possessed by Hakeems tradionally and which was acquired by the practioner due to his immense Taqwah and Tawakkul, and Yaqeen that Allah has power over all things, and with Allah alone is the cure.

My point is the practices that you are associating with this field have nothing to do with this field at all.

I would humbly disagree...I addressed and clarified everything that needed clarification, in my previous post.
There is a mystical aspect to traditional Hikmat and that is what is being discussed in this thread and that is the issue raised by Muadh in his original post, and that mystical aspect has been addressed by others also not just myself.

Perfect recipe for a conspiracy theory and that's exactly what it sounds like

However I disagree too with your view reason being I've experienced this in real life and not something I read /watched online or heard from others. What mysticism you seem to be associating with this field has nothing to do with this in the first place, theirs schools in Asia where you can actually learn this field and none of it has to do with Jinns, muakill, hanzaad etc

But that's fine bro your entitled to your own view

I do not recall stating any such thing.

Lets see Bro Muadh stated his experience with a Hakeem in his original post, Muadh stated the Hakeem was able to state things about his past that no one could have known. He asked other peoples opinion on this and I stated the following.

Whole thing sounds highly dubious to me....! True there were pious Hakeems who posessed certain abilities in the distant past.
But in the present day and age more likely to be psychological trickery or jaddoo.

My above post was specifically addressing the original post by Bro Muadh...However I think I should have quoted the original post in my response it would have provided a context it would have saved us both alot of time. On reflection I would agree that my above post, on its own is very easy to misinterpret, and apologies for that Brother.

My contention is these mystical abilities mentioned in the original post were posessed by pious Hakeems in the past, and if someone in this day and age is showing such abilities then it is likely Jadoo or Psychological trickery.

Sure there are Herbal schools were you can go and learn how to make potions and concoctions and probably many good practitioners of this style of hikmat...But the Classical art of Hikmat was learned from a Master Practioner, who learned from a Master Practioner, Who learned from a Master Practioner and they posessed certain abilities. Finding such a Hakeem in this day and age would be rare.

So anyways what is your explanation for the experience stated by Muadh Khan in his post?
