Assalaamu 'alaykum
Regarding the closed threads option may I ask what kind of topics the option can be used for? Also by using it, is it regarded as something which is disapproved of?

I'm asking because of the following statement:

It's an option by the thread opener, not because it's disapproved of.



Certain topics need full clarification before there is an intervention. The thread opener makes his point without any third party involvement.


For the second part, Maulana probably made mention of this very important fact because a member was being accused and had no option to respond. Whereas in the same accused members thread, the option was open for discussion and self defence.

Once again, Maulana's post was clear and succinct, hope that helps clear the air.
