"Click to run an ActiveXcontrol"??

Assalamualaykum wrahmatullah

I tried to open the second nasheed post Brother Yasin posted, however I got a little box that came up saying "Click to run an ActiveX control on this page"..when I pressed okay it said that windows had encoutered a problem and it closed..Can you help me out with this please?

Does anyone else have the same problem..I think it's my PC because I tried to open Mujahidah an Nafs' blog and the same thing came up. It's really bugging me.

It's the Windows Media Player plugin. You can try updating it by opening windows media player, 'Help' menu > 'Check for Player Updates'

You can also try adding the domain muftisays.com etc to the safe zone in your internet settings.

Tools menu > Internet Options > Security < Trusted Sites (Icon) > Sites (Button) > Type in domain (muftisays.com) > You can take it from there..

If you have version 10, then then it won't show any updates.

If no, Explorer updates are safe, I don't like windows updates but sometimes they're needed.

Try this update first:
www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=111C126...

If still no luck, try this.
www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=37431BB...

I received an email about this error on someone elses computer too so it's not your PC alone. The page uses EMBED code instead of OBJECT so the browser determines the default player for the file type.

I downloaded the Windows media Player 10 and now it works fine.

I figured out that the problem was in fact an older version of Real Player *embarassed*. It's my default player for everything, alhamdulilah it is up and running.
