Consistency and long-term followup, can expect only from desis. Ignore their shortcomings and take their positives.

you really think so? this particular person who is interested in islam works in a desi rich environment in dewsbury. his work colleagues are connected to desi ulama and desi dawah groups. yet not a single one has taken any initiative at all to guide this potential muslim.

That does it mean that you should not refer the person to a desi dawah group which takes care of reverts. Even the hardcore desi haters believe that desis are better in long term care. So any one who is taking care of reverts, even if it is desi, refer the brother to them.

i didnt know of any such group who is willing to look after him until i started this thread. he is already known to people who are connected to the local desi dawah group, but no one has taken the initiative. hence my reason for starting this thread. it seems your experiences are different to mine. anyway another forum member has advised me which i will be following through with, inshallah. jazakallah khair for your help.
