Shaykh Sayyid Asad Madani (Rahimahullah) Passes Away
Shaykh Sayyid Asad Madani (Rahimahullah) Passes Away Shaykh Sayyid Asad Madani Sahib was the son of Shaykhul Islam Sayyid Husain Ahmad Madani (Rahmatullahi Alaihi) (1879-1957) who was one of the main leaders of the independent movement who fought the British colonial empire with the students of Darul Uloom Deoband in weakening their empire resulting in their withdrawal. He was a teacher of Bukhari in Masjid-an-Nabawi for many years.
Shaykh Sayyid Asad Madani also joined his father in continuing the work of his father and establishing the position of the Muslims in India after their weakened condition due to the oppression of the Majority. He brought the Muslims from a weak position to giving them rights, positions, status and respect in society. He established many Madrasahs and schools and has served the Ummah over 30 years. He spent one month at home in Deoband during Ramadhan and 11 months for the work of Deen. 3 years ago, during his Da'wah work, he received the news of his wife passing away. He was saddened by the news but this did not weaken him. He continued the work which was ongoing at the time of the news. This was his faith in Allah and level of commitment to Islam.
Such a renowned character has been taken from the Ummah leaving all his work behind. He passed away today (6th Feb 2006) It a request to all the Muslims that they pray for Shaykh and do Eesaal ath-Thawaab.
