Is it true that self called Shaikhul Islam led the recent Eid Salah by sitting down and further by signs/hand movements ?
I hear that the ulema of Pakistan have strongly criticised him for this and said that the people who prayed Eid behind him their prayer was invalid and Shaikhul Islam should have appointed someone else to lead the Salah.
What's the authenticity in this matter and what's correct fiqh stance too ? Can anyone confirm ?
