Assalamu 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullah,

Can anyone explain to me, if Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri's actions are from an Islamic and then political point of view correct? Is there anything to read or hear by reliable scholars on the current affairs, one can refer me to? Please share your views...

Jazak'Allah khayran in advance.

I watched some parts of them. It deals with the political side of the situation, but not really the Islamic perspective on it. This is a newspaper article of Mawlana Qari Muhammad Hanif Jalandhry (hafizahullah), if someone can translate for non-Urdu readers it might insha'Allah prove beneficial.

All i can say, Imran Khan is the first person to ever push the whole corrupt parliament of Pakistan against the wall. For this he is showing unmatchable perseverance . On top of that him being liberal and whatever, He not only talks about establishing justice and law and order, but has often talked about Iman and yaqeen, which often reminds one of a typical Tableeghi jammat bayan. Unfortunately we have never ever heard such a talk at least from religious political leaders such as JUI cheif.

On the other hand Qadri's effort are just whatever, and i personally have no hopes, because he is doing it for "friends of Musharaf" and all that gang. But i guess at the hour he is able to get manpower, and due to this need Imran khan decided to ally with him.

Hence, whether his whole effort is Islamic or not, but what he has been able to do is still impressive.

One only expects bad from Tahir ul Qadri and gets a disaster. This is one of the most miserable creatures on earth. Prepare against him and his followers whatever you can prepare.

Please maintain respect for each other and Ulamaa (if topic is about a scholar) by avoiding accusations and slanderous comments. Also remember that in order for criticism to be constructive, it must be channeled in the right direction. If there is any doubt in a matter, it is better to ask, clarify or to remain silent rather than to speak ill of another person.

Qadri's case is clear I think. Khan is a famous politician and his ideology is thus known to us. He is a democrat and secularist without doubt.
Making takfir of protesters is not something I would dare to do. Every person needs to be looked at individually.

@HSAB: Brother you have a very dangerous habit of uttering blatant Takfir. Please save your own Akhirah and don't reply any further on this topic without reading this article: thehumblei.com/2013/04/03/takfir-its-dangers-rules/

Under discussion are not what beliefs these two leading figures hold or how pious they are, but rather about the movement, protests and what some deem as revolution that is happening in Pakistan. So please don't turn the thread into bickering back and forth.
