If my act of placing a chaadar (a flower sheet which covers the whole grave) on grave of a wali helps in hidayah of just ONE person, I shall do it. I won't bother about arm chair executives calling me mushrik or a kaafir.

I posted what I though was correct and believe it to be correct.

I haven't done anything wrong to do taubah.

Yes, people who think that a town of 500 muslims can be left to Allah SWT and think of ourselves and also claim that we are not responsible for them should re -think. May be incident concerning some one near and dear may force to rethink.

The point is, you are adamant that compromising your Deen, even once is fine and that you would do it again and again and not even think about making taubah.

Put yourself back in that situation where you decided that it will keep your relationship with your dear one intact by putting a "chaadar" over the grave of a wali. I'm sure you only did this because your dear one asked you politely and you thought you'd jump to it, because he might break all relationships with you.

Now, what if instead of that chaadar, your friend prostrated at the grave and kissed it out of respect for the wali and not for shirk. If your friend asked you to do the same instead of placing the chaadar, would you have still done it? Even once if you thought that maybe he will be guided eventually by you keeping good relations with him?

So many ifs and buts.

I quoted an incident gave two options and everyone was scared to select an option.

You didn't complete the sentence.

We don't compromise and write the whole sentence in my second option. Why are you scared?

The "sermons" have the answers brother. WE DO NOT INDULGE IN WRONG EVEN IF IT MEANS MASSES OF PEOPLE MAY POSSIBLY BE GUIDED. GUIDANCE COMES FROM ALLAH ALONE, NOT BY DOING AN ACT INVENTED BY SHAITAN. WE USE THE QURAN AND SUNNAH WITH HIKMAH.

Do you really think that if Mufti AS DESAI placed a chaadar on a wali's grave, masses of people would've been guided?

Kindly place your selves in the position in my quoted incident. and select an option.

If it is option 2, then no more sermons required. And I believe all here have selected option 2. That is the reason I have edited my posts.

And will please take the quoted incident to your mufti and ask his option.

The height of STUPIDITY is to reduce an argument to:

 1. You are either with us
 2. OR against us!

We were given a task to start the noble work of Dawah and Tableegh in a small American town consisting of 330 Hindku (Pakistani) families who were staunch in Bid’at and violent to anyone against their practises.

A young brother was the Ameer of the Tableeghi Halaqahs (America is divided into 13 zones for Tableegh and then Halaqahs).

These Pakistanees had immense respect for Physics professor at a university so the first thing was to do Gusht to the Professor. He was a Modernist sort but prayed his Salah regularly and after numerous discussions he decided to permit the Jamaat to pray at the (only) Bidati Mosque. Giving Bayans or staying was not permitted.

The local Peer was in Pakistan at that time.

3 day Jamaats twice a month were sent to this city for 3-4 months to mingle with the locals, no Ghasht or dawat was possible. The local (Pakistani labourers) tolerated the Jamaats due to Professor. After a month or so the locals (due to Pakistani tradition) started bringing food for the Jamaat.

This situation was discussed at zonal Shura and it was instructed to eat as much as possible to build good relationships.

3-4 months later, the Peer arrived. Jamaats were instructed to take gifts for the local Peer and visit him before going to the Masjid. The local Peer felt compelled to support the Jamaat and even made announcement that Jamaats will stay in the Bidati Mosque.

Still no Bayans or Gashts, Jamaats just stayed and prayed.

One day the Professor who used to give Jummah Bayan got stuck in traffic and there was nobody to conduct Friday prayers so the locals requested the Jamaat brothers. They asked the Peer Saheb and “Hazrat” obliged with his permission.

Hazrat Peer Saheb sat in the front while Jamaat Hafiz Saheb conducted Urdu Bayan, Khutbah and then prayer.

The professor and the peer then requested the Jamaat officially to start conducting Jummah prayers. Again this was put to Mushwara and permission was granted.

Still no Bayan, no Gasht and no Tableegh just mingling eating food and discussions.

A month or so later the Peer was caught by the Police with an underage prostitute and this was in local newspapers and was sent to Jail!

Locals were now desperate so again they approached the Jamaat (as they didn’t know any better), a Pakistani (Tableeghi) Hafiz Saheb was installed as an Imam.

Still no Bayan, no Gasht and no Tableegh just mingling eating food and discussions and general Bayans by Imams.

Slowly Jamaats were permitted to make Ta’leem then bayans, rest is history!

No dynamic Ijtehaad or Bidat was carried out just Mushwara, Duas and Hikmah!

There are million and one stories like this all over the world!

yes, actually we do "INDULGE IN WRONG EVEN IF IT MEANS MASSES OF PEOPLE MAY POSSIBLY BE GUIDED", like or not.
to compare placing a sheet on a grave to prostrating to a man is unfair.
here are some better comparisons:
-delivering lectures to mixed gatherings where purdah is not properly observed and fussaq/modernists are honoured as well. Many Ulama do this for the sake of tabligh. e.g. famous deobandi south african scholar delivering lectures at RIS.
-having pictures of women, many times with their aura exposed, displayed on their social media webpages. how many brothers in this very thread retweet news links that have pictures of non-muslim women? they don't display their own pics because they believe digital photography is haram, but apparently it's halal to keep and distribute pictures of others...
-praying isha salah in maghrib time because "haven't you seen how much fewer people come if you keep it at 15o instead of 12o?
-Imams keeping quiet as corrupt comittee members talk nonsense on the mic.
-voting in a democracy for the "lesser evil". Obama was the "lesser evil" at one time.

And Hazrat Maulana A. S. Desai hafezahullah isn't a hujjat on anyone. Nobody takes him seriously. Who honestly believes Hashim Amla, Maulana Ebrahim Bham and Maulana Tariq Jameel are disbelievers and that Maulana Yusuf Patel is a k-a-l-b? I've even heard other Ulama, his own peerbhai included, use the term "Majlis" jokingly in their bayans.
