Brother, we could go round in circles so I will end it on a few words.

And you can't get a closer relation then my example!

We went to a Dargah in India (a few of them) EVERYONE was made to bowdown and touch their heads on the grave and then make a single tawaf out of veneration. Alhumdulillah, even at the age of about 10, I just couldn't do it. Yet those around me didn't want to hurt the feelings of the Bawah and sold their deen! Alhumdulillah as time passed by, they understood their mistakes and have rectified their ways.

Will you make Tawaf of the same grave just to keep your friend happy? Will you touch your head on the feet of the grave just to keep your friend happy?

One small step will lead to another and you won't even know it.

Have you ever heard of Barsisa?

Are there still any veterans of Badr alive? For only they were allowed to do whatever they wanted according to some reports

May be you must listen to some tableeghi brothers from Indian subcontinent.

I know many incidents, where girls were divorced, made shaheed, social boycot of families, pushed out of masajid, legal tangles, even killed.

All for not participating in the local bidah activities.

Many were forced to recite kalimah again and participate in local bidah activities, with heavey heart they did that, as bargain for staying in their towns.

surely that reminded me of badr.

And many visiting jamaath were forced out of town for not participating in the local bidah activities. Many compromised, stayed in the masjid and did participate in local bidah activities. Reason; if they leave the town how will the locals get the message of haq.

Bro, certain people have permission to denounce their religion under threat. You on the other hand participated in an action to keep your pal happy.

Don't talk about families being boycotted, coz the prophet and his companions went through a boycott without compromising their faith. Blood relations were severed, but they didn't trade their faith man.

You'll also be hard pressed to find explicit fatwas legalizing photographs (at least hard copies), bidah gatherings on laylatul qadr & shab-e-baraat, allowing women into masjids, seeratun nabi etc. but we know the reality on the ground that such previously unanimous prohibitions are being slowly but surely overturned by today's ulama based on need and circumstances. So what Ahmad Sharif is talking about to legalise a comparatively insignificant bidah for a real need is minor in comparison. Based on similar principles through which aforementioned prohibitions have been legalized it should not be too hard to find a Maulana to legalise a relatively innocuous solitary bidah which Ahmad Sharif requires for his friend's imaan. It's merely a case of the pot(s) calling the kettle black.

You guys can shop for fatwas all day long. Legal or not legal. An innovation is an innovation. Those scholars who have passed fatwas to allow certain stuff is only done with some sort of evidence, not to please theirs pals.

Who said we need fatwas or Muftis? The door of "dynamic ijtihad" is open for one and all except the evil Ahle Hadeeth Ghayr Muqallids!

salaam

a mufti can only issue a fatwa from within the quran and the sunnah. if he issues a fatwa against the quran and sunnah, but from his own emotions then it will be rejected.

the first sifaat from the 6 sifaat taught in tabligh jamaat...

1. iman

la ilaha illallah - muhammadur rasoolullah

there is no deity except allah, muhammad is the messenger of allah.

each and everything happens by the will of allah, and success in this world and in the hereafter is in following the way shown by the prophet (saw).

your concept completely goes against the very first sifaat that we are taught in tabligh jamaat. besides, only allah can give hidayat no matter what we try or do. this was even the case with rasoolullah (saw)

Indeed, [O Muhammad], you do not guide whom you like, but Allah guides whom He wills. And He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided. (Quran 28:56)

i personally know how difficult it is when someone close to you chooses to follow a path that goes against the will of allah. we try our best and leave the rest to allah. but in doing so we do not take ourselves away from allah as well.

Yes, depending on one's mood and feeling it can either be ijtehad, ijtihad, eejteehaad or anything else!

OK; let me present some facts.

You are in a tableeghi jamaath for 40 days, you have been asked stay in a masjid for 10 days. The condition of the locals is worst. When you visit the masjid you find bid'ah you have never seen in your life. Also you get the news that earlier jamaath were thrown of the town for not participating in the bidah.

Now my dynamic ijtehad will be to stay in the masjid, with a heavy heart participate in the bidah of the local masjid, with every participation offer two rakah of taubah, stay in the masjid and give dawah to locals who have never visited the masjid, who have never recited the kalimah, they don't even know the faraidh of ghusl.

The zealots will suggest:

Pack your baggage, leave the town, you are not responsible for giving dawah to the locals, you shall never be questioned, but if you get involvled in the bidah, you shall be questioned, don't spoil your amaal. Hidayath of others is in the hands of Allah SWT. Eh naheen suddhrenge. Recite surah kaafiroon and leave.

And jamath don't even carry their laptops or mobiles to get a fatwah.

Am I correct; br afriki haq, muadh and others.

A clarifications. We shall not participate in any activity which is openly termed as haram or shirk.

Two simple questions...

  1. In your heart and mind does Hidayan (guidance) comes from Allah (SWT) by following the Sunnah or by adopting most suitable tactics?
  2. Which Scholars have authorised your dynamic Ijtehaad?

Jazakallahu Khayran
