Are star signs and horoscopes Haram? I have read a hadith from somewhere that says that even if you accidently look at star signs, your namaz is not accepted for 40 days and nights?
However some people have said to me that its not about star signs, its about the belief - you shouldn't believe that stars can predict your future but you may look at them with the belief that Allah makes the stars be like that and Allah gives them knowledge and ultimately only Allah knows the future.
Some people have also said - we believe in the big bang theory but I believe it came from Allah and so this thus does not weaken my faith or eman, in fact it makes it stronger that Allah is all knowing all seeking. This person claimed that the same principle applied to star signs.
Another argument I have heard is that crystal healing is allowed in Islam and believeing that some crystals give you benefits is almost like star signs. They say in that case is crystal healing not haram also.
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
