Respected Sisters in Islam! First of all I congratulate you that Allah Almighty blessed you with birth not only in a prestigious and practicing Muslim family but also in a house whose members entertain the genuine Islamic creed untainted with polytheistic filth and innovated dogmas in religion.

We are grateful to Allah that he protected us from evil practices prevalent among Muslims around the world. He blessed this family with scholars and preachers who established Masjid and Madaris. Hence, we must pay heartfelt gratitude as it increases the bounty. Allah سبحانه وتعالى says "If you give thanks, I will give you more"

I recommend you to always remain constantly vigilant for the protection of your faith and creed and give thanks to Allah سبحانه وتعالى for giving right faith. I do not see polytheism and innovative practices being done in the neighborhood as well , which proliferated in other places.

So the key to remain steadfast on the correct doctrine is unconditional faith in Allah.
Engrave in mind that none except Allah alone has power to bring good and bad, health and sickness, life and death, children and prosperity and no saint, astrologer, Abdaal or Qutub commands enough power to perform any of these actions.

He alone created the universe out of nothing and alone administers it too. No leaf can stir without His permission and no atom can move. Inculcate the knowledge of creeds to your children. The noble Islamic families to whom Allah destined for the gracious services of Islam never left any scope on this score.

Children, in such prestigious families, were taught from the very beginning that no one can produce anything except Allah alone. Therefore, if someone ever happened to say otherwise, they were the first in refusing to believe such notions

Among such families the household of Shah waliullah رحمة الله عليه possessed a significant place. The families of the pious figures among the scholars of Deoband such as Hazrat Maulana Rasheed Ahmed Gangohi, Hazrat Maulana Qasim Nanotawi, Hazrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi, Maulana Khaleel Ahmed sahab , Maulana Hussain Ahmed Madani and Sayyid Ahmed Shaheed sahab Rahmatullahi alaihi Ajmaen came next in this golden chain of contributors.

The tremendous watchfulness regarding Oneness of Allah سبحانه وتعالى was the most striking characteristic of Maulana Ismail shaheed رحمة الله عليه.

Hold it firmly and tell your sisters and relatives. Preach it wherever you happen to go either in marriage ceremonies or any other place . He destines you to fall sick and he gives you power to recover from illness as well.

Firstly keep your doctrines correct, and thereafter plant the same set of firm beliefs in the hearts of your progenies. From the early childhood they learn to ask only from from Allah سبحانه وتعالى.

My late mother Alhamdulillah taught me to invoke and when we were able to write she affectionately made us to write first after Bismillah, 'O My Lord !Give us the best with your benevolence what you bless with to your righteous servants'.

The books written by renowned Islamic scholars like Taleemul islam by Mufti Kifayatullah and Bahishti Zewar by Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi رحمة الله عليه. Emphasize on performing salah especially to those who had come of age.

Thus they will easily become habitual to perform it on time and would not skip. Awake them for salah, develop an Islamic environment so people see religiosity and competition of virtuous deeds.

Recount the lessons teaching stories of Prophet Muhammed salallahu alaihi wasallam and his companions and make them pay gratitude regularly for bestowing innumerous bounties.

From the early childhood, I observed my mother performing Tahajjud prayer punctually that made us aware of the importance of Tahajjud. If I ever slept without offering Isha prayer, she would wake me and encourage me to offer prayer.

In the same way she taught me Invocations and encouraged me to study islamic books. I have written her biographical account in a book called 'Zikr e Khair' that includes her letters as well.

Allah سبحانه وتعالى endowed her with such a gift of composing poems invoking the glory of Allah. Once after reading her poems, an pious person and Khalifa of Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi رحمة الله عليه remarked , "These Poems are indeed composed by some enlightened lady".

Such wonderful invocations she composed that should be repeated very frequently. Such invocation makes great impact on heart and soul.

All pious and good personalities laid a great emphasis on suppplications and invocations. Whatever problem arised they would advise of supplication. My mother was Hafizah of Qur'an. She annually would recite the whole Qur'an in Taraweeh.

My uncle the grandfather of Rab'e Sayyed Khaleelhuddin sahab رحمة الله عليه who was disciple of Hazrat Gangohi رحمة الله عليه sought a Fatwa on the permissibility for a woman to lead Taraweeh prayer on women.

The scholars of Firangi Mahal issued a fatwa permitting women to establish Taraweeh prayer with congregation. My mother used to lead a great number of women in Taraweeh prayer.

My Mother , Maternal aunt, maternal sisters, paternal aunt and in some cases both husband and wife were hafiz of Qur'an and in some cases both husband and wife were Hafiz of Qur'an in our family.

My Mother also memorized the whole book and my father was an Islamic Scholar. My mother has written several books such as 'Kaleeed e Baab e rahmat' , 'Zaiqa' and Husn e Muasharat'. I highly recommend all ladies of this household to bring and thoroughly read these books. You will find them greatly helpful to lead a life based upon Islamic teachings.

Allah gifted her with skill of poetry as well. Her couplets, especially those glorifying Allah Almighty, move reader to tears. Her poetry collection is rich with such poems that pay a tribute to Divine majesty.

Then the moral training is most significant for children. But foremost is to plant the monotheistic belief in their soft hearts that there is no entity except Allah that may give anything. Therefore, the children whose parents engraved it at early stage were never misled by temptations. Their faith remained unaffected by the storm of transgression and infidelity.

Allah bestowed Hazrat Maulana Abdul Qadir Jeelani رحمة الله عليه with august status and fame and he is remembered by different names, one of them being 'Ghauth e Azam'. His mother admonished to always remain truthful and never to utter falsehood. When he was on his way to Baghdad along with a caravan for study, still in his childhood. The caravan was attacked by robbers who looted all their belongings.

The robbers inquired everyone what he had with him to which everyone replied that they were having nothing with them. When they checked the pockets they found many valuables and snatched it. When (young) Abdul Qadir was inquired he truthfully told that what he possessed, at which the robbers were embarrassed and sought forgiveness of Allah.

Another inspirational story of a famine that occurred in Baghdad is recorded in a book. In early life as a student during a year of famine in Baghdad, one day he felt very hungry, but he did not have any money to buy food. He was oblighed therefore to proceed towards the bank of the river to pick up some vegetables to satisfy his hunger.

When he found something edible, he did not run ahead of other hungry persons who were around him to first take and have it for himself. Such was his exemplary conduct, even when starving.

Once having been unsuccessful in his attempt to find any food, he returned to Baghdad in an exhausted condition and entered a mosque to take rest. There he found a stranger eating something. The stranger invited him to join and share food, but he declined though he was on the point of starvation.

The stranger however requested Hazrat again to share his meal for the sake of Allah. Then only, he joined him. In the course of conversation the stranger learnt that he was Abdul Qadir of his own Jilan and was perturbed. He confessed to Hazrat that his mother had given him some money to be given to him, but as he could not locate him in Baghdad and as he failed to search him, he had that day purchased the meal out of that amount under such extreme circumstances.

Such inspirational stories and fables serve as a great incentive to create awareness and consolidate faith in Allah سبحانه وتعالى in the little hearts of adorable children. It urges them on adopting truthfulness, avoiding falsehood; abstinence from backbiting, betrayal, oppression and being of assistance to others.

It makes them understand the virtue of removing a painful object from the road, not afflicting pain to others and remaining faithful to spouses.

They should be carefully educated on remaining a perfect muslim in all spheres of life. The beneficial books on upbringing of children should be brought and read like the one written by my sister Amatullah Tasneem called "Zaad e Safar" which is the free translation of 'Riyadhus Saliheen' and ' Seerat e Aisha' that is the biography of the mother of all believers Aisha رضى الله عنها.

This household has received the mercy and blessings of Allah سبحانه وتعالى in the past and may he also in future, Insha Allah And Allah will give you opportunity to contribute for Islam.

Supplicate after salah punctually for yourself, for the ones going through hard times, for relatives & friends.

Most importantly invoke Allah that he protects our beliefs and bless with abundance in our houses. Here I feel as if iam talking to the members of my family. Here I feel at home. Please remember in your sincere prayers.
