Asalamualaikum respected brothers.

I have a habit of stroking my dhari every now and again. I find string of hairs come slipping out from time to time.

Has anyone faced this before, what you can do to prevent this from happening? Is it sinfull too if you're contributing making your beard getting smaller (technically)?

That's natural.

To avoid it, don't do it :)

Try Olive oil or something to help. I doubt very much that it is sinful and I'm sure it doesn't make the beard eventually disappear.

Question

Salaams,

My beard hair is falling off. Is there anything according to Shariah that I could do to stop it? Also at the moment I have a sunnat beard but if it all falls off will I be excused?

Answer

I don't know how to stop it - When it falls off due to illness, you will definitely be excused, also, you will be rewarded for your intention to keep it.

See a Hakim for some medicine. Phone Hakim Umar Siddiqi on 0091*******. He is in India - They are 5 1/2 hours ahead of us.

Answer

(Fatwa: 130/130/M=1433)

Do not let the beard hair to be desecrated. Bury the hair that fell itself in some appropriate place and undergo the treatment of any expert doctor or hakim. Also use any oil to protect your hair.

Bury the hair?

What does it mean? Just put it back in the beard or something?

In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.

Answer

It is mentioned in Sunan Baihaqi that the Prophet of Allah Sallallahu Alahi Wasalam has ordered to bury the hairs and nails. The hairs should be disposed of in a respectful way, as it is a part of a human being. (Tuhfatul Ahwazi P.40 V.8)

In regards to your question the hair should be either buried or disposed of in a respectful manner. One will be allowed to dispose of the hair by putting it in a bin as the rubbish eventually is burnt. However, one should not throw it in the toilet or let it sink through the bath plugholes, as there will be impurities there.

Only Allah Knows Best

Jazak'Allah, akhi.

Edited my last post. The "lol" was ignorantly foolish.
