I have known Shaykh (Mufti) Kamaluddin Saheb (HA) for a while but have met him 2-3 times only and last time I went (last year) it was a special Majlis (which I didn't know about)...He asked everyone to make Bay'ah I was dead smack in the front so went along...

He knew about the blog so I asked him about the questions raised by Dr76 and he said, "I gave YOU permission to carry out the Adhkaar of the Silsila and not to anyone else" So I have permission to do Dhik'r with or without Bay't but also happen to be Bay't "by accident"

I am 100% deliberately and on purpose bay't to another Shaykh in Naqshabndi-Mujaddidi Silsila and another in Chishti Silsila (50% accident/50% deliberate) , both years ago.

But I am 110% convinced about Naqshbandi-Mujaddid Tareeqa being closest to Sunnah in my own ignorant personal ways

I accept my mistake.

My heart has always been convinced of Naqshbandi-Mujaddidi Tareeqa, I have no reason, no proof, no evidence; just a feeling in the heart which I cannot shake off no matter how much I try.

I've heard of many brothers doing that, not just once but a few times with different shaykhs.

As long as you don't start doing the pink toilet roll thing....we got nothing to worry about. Alhumdulillah

The history of these Bay'ts are as follows:

  1. I took Bay't with someone in Hazrat Thanwi (HA)'s Silsila and I didn't know much but that Bay't is NULL & VOID (as consulted by Ulamah) because of Shariah issues
  2. My second Bayt was deliberate and well thought of with a Shaykh of Naqshbandi-Mujaddidi Silsilah
  3. My 3rd Bay't with Shaykh (Mufti) Kamaluddin (HA) was an accident

2 is what I did after Istikhara and thinking and deliberately.

Even when I had doubts about Madhabs or Deobandees I was ALWAYS pulled towards this Silsila and I don't know why?

I don't know why but my heart has always felt that Tableeghi Jamaat is upon Haqq and that Jihad/Naqshabndi-Mujaddidi Tareeqa/Mahdi (AS) are linked and I have no proof to offer for it; just feelings...

Quote from Shaikh London: No,I will not say this,I will ask a very simple question : "Do you 'really' believe that 'every' naqshbandi starts from where Shaikh Gangohi ra,Haji Imdad ullah ra and Hazrat Husain Ahmad Madani ra ended ? ". Syedena Ghaus Al Azam ra has got a very high status,I would consider it an insult to him to include his name in the list.

Suppose you have a plate in front of you with three plums. You start from the right (first) and finish at the left (third) plum.

Then Hazrat Aqdas Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA), fictitiously, had the same plate in front of him. He start from the left (last) and finished at the right (first) plum.

Does it make you superior to him? Hardly.

It is like saying I am superior because I ate the left carrot first. Or vice-a-versa.

Pir Zulfiqar Sahab (DB) sometimes praises the Naqshbandi Method along similar lines.
But it is he who has explained the point I have focused upon above.

So relax.

I shall enjoy the rest of the comments later on, IA.

maripat saab your input is always greatly appreciated. It would be great if you read maktubat sharif both the one by imam ahmed sirhindi rh and his son hazrat khwaja masoom rh and give feedback. In there there is constant reference to the superiority of the naqshbandi silsila. Therefore these questions came to mind.

My impression is that I know the content of those letters from a Ramadhan Bayaan in Khawaas of Pir Zulfiqar Sahab (DB). It did not bother me at all. Earlier I used to get irritated when Pir Sahab (DB) would repeat the superiority of N Tariqa. Now I am not. The issue is no more than the choice of eating either the top layer or the bottom layer of the cake first. Eating the top layer is not a superior choice because to and bottom layers were decided by some chef.

maripat saab I was always surprised by the naqshbandi silsila in india. It seemed dead almost for the last 150 years until some pir zulfiqar khulafah started work. It would be good if you could encourage somebody at aligarh to do a thesis on this. i.e the rise and fall of the naqshbandiya in India. As well as the sacking of sirhind sharif by the sikhs and the family dispersing. Where they went e.g. Rampur etc.
