Threads like this make me understand why many scholars and elders are skeptical towards the "Islamic use" of the internet. In real life (in other word face to face) a discussion would never take place like this. The various parties of such discussions might have valid views but because of refuting eachother a visitor to the forum (like me) will - instead of chosing one of the valid views amongst them - discard them all and become despondent. Posting your views and engaging in discussions on a public forum is less a privilige and more a responsibility, especially when you talk about Islam. And you might not be aware of it but you contribute in shaping the minds of hundreds of readers. I just want to humbly appeal to ponder before posting

a, wether it is beneficial for common readers or not and

b, wether you would publicise the same on a newspaper with your real name under it?

Please be more responsible...

(There's a great speech of Maulana Salman Nadwi [hafizahullah] talking about the responsibilities of the media and press. I think it would be fitting if someone could post it here.)

ASA,

Clearly the brother in this thread who was ranting about "Jihad" , was talking about key board jihad, that many amatures love and are good at, and Incase he was trying to point towards Qital, just to put down other normal Muslims who are trying to become good Muslims with whatever way they are and in whatever capacity they are able to,then what a joker. Cracks me up. Can't believe such childish talks ,genuinely makes me laugh.

What is fardh and urgent is that we all at this very present do whatever best we can to become mutaqis and develop a good character to clean our lives, and when Allah brings the circumstances and conditions of Qital in our life and our circle of influence then we pray and hope that we are accepted to perform this noble and highest form of worship.

Lol on taunting other Muslims that "you don't do jihad' when clearly we ourselves are sitting half our days in air conditions eating shawarmas and causing problems to others.

Would you still say 'keyboard warrior/jihad' and 'LOL' if you were told that the brother is a war veteran ??

Please do inform us as to what exactly are the conditions of Qital ? Ofcourse only in a academic context as students of knowledge.

So why is he back, Qital is going on still in many parts....is he taking time off now? .....and him being war veteran means he taunts Muslims for an opportunity that others haven't got yet.....and which war? So why doesn't he just go and fight if Qital is the circumstances his life is in, where does he get time to come online ? Also some accusations I read against him are kinda too unmanly for a mujahid, they sound a befit more to the household women gossips and issues.....anyways, if his circumstances have changed and he feels he does not have to do Qital ,then why does he go around taunting others who are in a similar situation than him? .....it's silly

From conditions I am not pointing out towards the shariah or fiqhi conditions, I am saying as in a current reality in one's surrounding. For example we all know about the different parts of the world where Muslims are under physical attack and fight is going on, but yet it doesn't mean champions like you and others on these forums are flocking there to do Qital, why??? Because there is no fatwas out there saying that all of the ummah wherever they are start doing Qital . That's why u are not doing it also right now. Hence the pleasure you seek and time u spend here online . So why taunt people for something ur incapable right now urself to participate. Don't u think others have life circumstances like you?????

السلام عليكم

Below is a rare book written by Hakeem ul Ummat Hazrat Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi رحمة الله عليه called As'Sunnat ul Jaleeya fi Chishtiyatul Aliya

Its a refutation of Assumptions and Accusations from both sides- the Ahlul Bidah who with their defective understanding of The Chishti Mashaikh made them a scape goat for their own waywardness & corruption.. as well as Those who blatantly accused them of not being on the Kitaab and Sunnah.. which infact they were strictly adherent to..

here..

Muqaddama..

السلام عليكم

The following scan was requested by Maulana Abu uzair sahab (db) (attabligh.com) to be translated.

Hazrat Maulana Shah Wasiullah sahab رحمة الله عليه admonishing those who slander Mashaikh.

(bism1)

" Amma ba’ad. Today the people who visit Mashaikh, desirous to seek benefit from them, when they do not feel any gain, begin to complain. They attribute this failure of benefiting (of theirs) upon the Mashaikh and assume the reason as their defect.

So it has to be understood as this line of thinking to be incorrect. Such that it amounts to mistrust and slander of the accepted ones of Allah سبحانه وتعالى which is definitely a despicable Bidah and a grave sin.

Whereas I feel that a major reason among others, for the adversity cast upon us today, has to be such allegations posed on the pious and devout men of Allah سبحانه وتعالى. While they are totally absolved of it."

May Allah سبحانه وتعالى guard us all.. Ameen..
