Assalamu alaikum.

Revealing ones sin is sin, right.�

If you sin by intending bad for others. You realized, afterwards you talk them they consider you never intended bad for them. so, should you tell �that in fact you did intend bad [no matter at present you don't?]? If you do you'd have to reveal your sin, but if you don't do then it seems you're becoming a munafique?

so what should be done?

- should tell the truth so that you're no longer a munafiq?�
- Or should hide your sin?

No api, this is not a fiqh question.

I deliberately didn't post in Fiqh Q&A section. cos members can't discuss here, they would have to bring fatwah from scholar. Members can't answer directly so I don't think I'd get clear answer.

please move this thread to other section.

Jazakallahu khair I've read the fatwah but sorry I'm still not clear what should one do in that situation.

This is similar to the issue of gheebah. If one backbites a person, basically after repenting to Allah Ta'ala one has to get the approval of the person who was talked about, by telling the person the matter.

I have heard from Shaykh Nsour's explanation of 'Prohibitions of the tongue', that one does not have to 'explicitly' mention the matter. One can just ask the person 'forgive me for any misgivings I have done to you knowingly or unknowingly'. That way one can avoid unnecessary conflict, since people often confrontational and might keep bad feelings in the heart.

If you want forgiveness:
-repent sincerely,
-reconcile with the person without any confrontation.
-To avoid confrontation one doesn't have to be specific, just ask for forgiveness for whatever bad from your side.
( I have heard that there is an opinion that if reconciliation is not possible, one can give sadaqah in that persons name).
