As salaamualaikum brothers,

My colleague is convert from hindu to christain. While i was using his laptop i found some of Dr. Zakir Naik videos regarding christainity. I think he may be interested in knowing islam.

I want to give him some material like books, websites refuting christainity in logical way etc.

I dont know from where to start. Can you tell some good resources which i can forward to my colleague through e-mail.

Jazakallahu khairan.

First things first.

The guy converted from Hinduism! That is a huge step. Most Hindu's will never convert religion simply because of society and the love they have for their parents and families. I've met plenty of Hindu's who know Islam is the truth, but they are stuck with their families. I even knew a tablighi hindu. He would narrate Hadith, etc to me because he would spend a lot of time with his tablighi friends, but he never reverted because his parents wouldn't approve.

Anyways, InshaAllah I will post a link of a thread here but you will need to go through it first before passing it on.

For comparative religion I would recommend Dr Naik and Ahmad Deedat

We also have a section called NTI, New To Islam. You may find it via the home page.

MashaAllah, may Allah make you the means of this person converting. Aameen

Actually, this guy is converted but i think somewhere deep down he is a little bit of hindu. I am saying this because he did not change his hindu name even after converting.

I came to know about him being christain when he did not ate some food(prasaad of some mandir) given by his another hindu friend.

Some very detailed work here, so you must go through it before sending a link.

www.muftisays.com/forums/13-articles--stories--more/6189-...

Dr Lazarus who posted on that thread is very knowledgeable in his field, yet Seifeddine and I tried our best to counter his arguments with hardly any decent background in his speciality.

Dr Lazarus may make us look like we don't have a clue, and in most cases, he's right, but that's only on historical Christian facts that neither he, nor we could prove. Conclusion is as we all know, Islam is the Answer. Dr Lazarus a professional in his field never came back to us, so we assume he accepted defeat yet we pray for his and our guidance.

Great thread though.

Even as Muslims, we don't have to change names as long as the meaning of the old name has a good meaning. The names are obviously better to change as this gives us an identity and Allah knows best.

Not accepting Prasad doesn't really mean he's not a hindu, he might be diabetic (just kidding)

Look on the bright side, he's come out of worshipping animals and multi gods to just 3 now, and inshaAllah, that too will change.
