Asalaam alaikam I am a revert and I follow the hanafi madhaab I hope I benefit from this forum as I like to discuss the deen with people and ma sha allah I learnt alot from this website especially the blogs some of the members have and I hope I can contribute to beneficial discussions here
I have a question about when asr time begins and I am very confused based on something my local imam told me
We was talking about deen and then the subject of asr time came out I know theres a view that in hanafi fiqh the one shadow view is adopted for asr time but the majority say it is two shadow length my local imam who is hanafi said the two shadow length view is the weaker opinion the one shadow view is stronger and he said imam abu hanifah even adopted this view near the end of his life
Also he said we will be adopting the one shadow length opinion soon, this has confused me as I thought the mufta bihi opinion in hanafi madhaab is that asr enters when it is two shadow length but he says the mufta bihi opinion is one shadow length and the two shadow length is only upheled by the indian sub continent hanafis but not with the arabs
please tell me is what he said correct or incorrect whats the correct view of the madhaab?
This cannot be undone and I am sure it will be greatly appreciated.
