(salaam)

I know there are very few people who have been practising upon Deen since their early age. They are very blessed people and Muslim children should be grown up in that way. But there are many practising Muslims as well whose previous life was full of darkness. Some were either non Muslim or Muslim by name only. Allaah سبحانه وتعالى brought them mercifully towards guidance and they started practising upon Deen completely.

Please share the reason or medium which led you towards Islam.

Mine started with obsession and wonder. My parents werent practising Muslims. They were influenced by the idea of secularism and modernism. They would say many negative things about İslam. As a child i believed them at first but then, in some point of my life, i began wondering about İslam. At that time, i had a teacher. She would literally say it in such a way, i would love to listen to her and this will lead me to search more about İslam. While searching, at first i couldnt believe all i was seeing, all my life they been telling how prayers were not so important, the thing that matter was the how good your heart was. When i saw it refused to belive but at the same time my heart believed immediately. After that as i searched more about Islam, everything become made sense. It was all long there but i couldnt see it. Also in someways i was becoming what my mother feared of.

Also the society pushed me as well. I had alcoholic, smokers, doing illict sex, drug carrier friends. also many friends from diffrent religions. I never felt like doing what they did. Even many times they would incourage me also. To me what they did was weird and stupid. After a while i met people online. They played big role. They helped me with many things. I had a Guzin Abla. Guzin abla was like a person who you would tell anything and she will give some solutions :) Guzin abla and my other online friends showed me the beauty of our deen. They broke many negative chains i had about Islam. Alhamdulillah :)

Thats a little of my story. i struggle allot cos still many things i hear still shocks me but hope that i get good friends and learn more about our beautiful deen.

I searched almost everything at my disposal and found faults with everything and glaring problems with every (other) religion and dogma. I couldn't find any contradictions or problems with the Qur'aan so I had to submit to Islam.

Allah (SWT) is PERFECT so everything which comes from his is also PERFECT!

Seemed like there was always something missing, had a healthy and wealthy lifestyle and education, but it was like a part of the jigsaw puzzle that was always missing, through being around non Muslims nothing anything they believed in made sense to even them and myself, in search for the missing something in life, looked into Islam and it felt perfect, like Allah was talking directly, saying here I am, I've always been here, where have you been?

Felt like an unforgettable reunion like being embraced with a loved one, someone youve known all your lifetime, someone whose always been there, watching over you, but until then I never took the time to turn around to even look or notice. Alhumdulillah, for Allahs mercy and kindness upon us.

Being Born Muslim, I cant say I searched for it or looked into any other religion.

It was FEAR that got me practicing a bit. With that fear I changed my ways etc and studied all sorts to perfect myself. The sad thing is I'm still miles away from being half of the least of the good Muslims.

I was born in a Muslim family but we weren't practicing. we still had a lot of Islamic values but we were ignorant.I prayed a few times at the masjid when i was a kid but that was it.. When my uncle died and i saw his dead body at the janazah, the reality of death sunk in my heart and then I started thinking deeply about my own impending death.i never saw a dead body until my uncle died. it was a frightening moment in my life that changed me for good. Alhemdulillah, I met some sincere brothers from tabligh jamaat and they invited me to go with them for three days in the path. I was reluctant at first to go with them because i was ashamed of not knowing any basic knowledge of deen but I said to myself, this is now or never. The brothers were very kind and showed alot of help and love to me. After spending three days in jamaat, I learned so much and was set on practicing my deen. Alhemdulillah, after three days, I came back home and was regular in my Salaat and other duties as a Muslim. all praise is due to allah for him guiding me through this episode in my life. Fear of death was pretty much the ultimate factor in my coming back to deen. alhemdullah.

Years back when I was in seventh grade I disbelieved in Allah, still kept praying salah with the dua that ''O Allah if you exist gimme Iman'' [The du'a was not correct either, as the word ''if'' should have not be there, may Allah forgive] I prayed cos I WANTED to believe but failed to believe in Allah, I used to fear hell-fire as I didn't know if it really not exist.

After so many years I've faith in Allah. Alahamdulillah. I disbelieved in past perhaps thats why now I wanna practice so that Allah forgive me.

wish to die and see Allah.
