السلام عليكم

I've been asked about the Quran for the Kindle, so I thought it would be good if Kindle users can post their books or findings that are compatible with the Kindle.

I don't have one as I can read the same things on my phone, so I don't exactly know how this works.

I assume its just downloading PDF files.

السلام عليكم

You can make most normal PDFs work on the kindle, all you have to do is convert it to ebook in the MOBI format and you can do this by a variety of free software such as Mobipocket etc.

Sometimes you do need to play about with it though, as the format of the book the way it's done maybe rubbish, like for instance the paragraphs nay be jammed together, smaller icons etc, so if that occurs which is rare then just use another software to convert the file.

p.s I do not own one but it definitely is on the cards, wouldn't mind the fact that I can carry a thousand books on me, may Allah also give us the ability to practice as well, as knowledge without practice is useless.

Only one time I did and that was when I was stuck in hospital for hours bored out of my head without reception as well, luckily I found 'Fazail-e-Sadakat' in my iBooks which I thought was a blessing sent to me, I was glued on to my phone and everyone was wondering whats he doing/reading.

Personally speaking I prefer physical books rather than a ebook however both have their advantages.

eBooks hosted on archive.org have an option to download direct for Kindle eReader owners - no need to convert to any formats.

And free advice:

Don't know about Kindle eReader, but DO NOT BUY a Kindle Fire HD.
