What you don't realise is that the independence you acheived is also due to Islam. The Turkish Army is an offshoot of Ottomans and the people who fought were trained under the Ottomans and Islamic mind-set. Who were Enver Pasha and Djemal Pasha?

1. These two controlled the Turkish military and Ata-Kuf'r and British conspired against both of them. Brilliant Soldiers, professionals who fought for Turkey
2. Shaykhul-Hind Mahmoodul-Hasan Deobandi (RA) wanted to meet Enver Pasha to expand the JIhad but it was the will of Allah (SWT) that it didn't happen
3. When Arabs revolted against the Turks, Enver Pasha went to Madina and he took his shoes off outside the city of Peygamber (sallallahu alayhi wa sallem) and walked without shoes at MID-DAY in heat to offer salawaat and this is written by many Scholars of the time. How much love did he have for Peygamber (sallallahu alayhi wa sallem)?
