having mercy and pity on unbelievers

Mercy on nonbelievers? Only on peaceful non-Muslims.
It's hard for me to develop compassion for those mock my religion. I came across some kuffar somewhere on internet, api Acacia you can't imagine how dirty people they're, they don't deserve my love, I was getting the feelings like, "The reason Allah created hell is that such people exist who deserve Hell''.

Canim, everyone has the potential for imaan and we also have the potential to lose what we have been blessed with. How do we know how our life will end? How do we know if we will be forgiven and granted a place in Jannah? How do we know we won't end up in Jahannam? How do we know Allah Ta'aala won't guide their hearts and grant them iman? We don't know.

He is the most merciful of those who show mercy and if we show mercy, His mercy will be infinitely more than anything we do. Don't we want His mercy? How can we ask for mercy when we are merciless? I don't know... just some food for thought insha'Allah. All said and done, to be honest, I get quite upset too and don't quite know what to do with my emotions in that regard still so... still learning alhamdulillah... striving and struggling towards Falah insha'Allah!

Only visit authentic Islamic sites, do not visit unislamic/unauthentic sites, by sitting in the company of such people, it will only have a detrimental effect on your imaan.

Please lets try stick to the topic. Sorry. جزاك الله خيرا

We don't talk about killing those we don't like, this is not Islamic etiquette. Situations of war are one thing, personal hatred isn't dealt with like this.

We follow the greatest teacher of all times, had he (saw) was to do what you prefer, then most of the sahabas would not even get the chance to embrace Islam.

We need to make dua for such people's guidance as give dawah.

Firstly before you read these lines, plz dont understand me wrong. okay :) i just want to give advice to you :)

yes, they say horrible things about Islam. They make fun of Islam. They even go extreme, by swearing at it. Plz sister, understand that this is exactly the reaction they are wanting from you. They want you to give the exact reaction, like you are giving. i know its hard. Its hard hear these but think it like this, you could be in their state? Like the dear Acacia ablam said how do you know that you will be end up in Jannah? Are you one of those people who are admitted to Jannah? Plz sister, they maybe swearing and making terrible comments but Allah is The Most Merciful, He guides whoever he wills and He sends to astray whoever he will. Those people maybe guided one day. They can even be better than you and me in imaan. Dont you hear the stories of how worst people came to Islam. Good example Umar (RadiAllahu Anhu) You know what i mean :)

Best thing to do is silence. Dont answer them, dont listen to them, just walk away and make dua for them. I understand what you mean. I know what it feels, once i was feeling like this too, but sister looking down at them wont benefit our imaan. In fact it will be worst for our imaan. We only raising our egos. plz sister dont give them what they want. Also it is not our place to judge people. We should be focus on ourselves most importantly.

Akhii Abu Mohammad in my opinion most of these problems are self inflicted, the reason being I've seen brothers and sisters online and offline, get a zeal for gaining knowledge and giving dawah. It's all good to a certain extent, the problem starts when you delve into 'fiqh' with ignorants, the laymen should not get involved in these at all, half the time you won't get what their saying and vice versa in the end they'll gang up on you and corner you, now this can have further detrimental results, either that person gets confused in his own religion or he goes and joins one of the nutty groups at there, I've seen it happen in my own locality brothers are practicing then they get involved with the wrong sort and then after some time you hear that so and so's house was raided, so and so has been arrested by the police or mi5 etc. This is why our ulema say stick to fadhail/virtues, you want to learn more in detail fiqh, aqeedah etc then you go and study under a competent alim.

You Mash'Ala put it beautifully we follow the greatest teacher the Messenger (saw) some incidents come to mind

- he forgave Vehshi رضي الله عنه, when he made the journey to Madina he had to keep his face hidden, when he entered the Prophet's mosque and removed his shawl/veil from his face the Sahaba رضي الله عنه withdrew their swords to avenge Hamza رضي الله عنه death, an uncle who was very dear to the Prophet (saw) but no he didn't say slaughter him he said wait let him say what he's hear to say and then Vehshi then said the Shahadah and from that day he became known as Vehshi رضي الله عنه and the Prophet (saw) forgave him

-Another incident, when someone urinated in the Prophets mosque, the Sahaba were about to stop him but look at the compassion of the Prophet (saw) he said let him finish first.

-When prisoners of war were tied to the pillars of the mosque and they would see the dealings of the Muslims they would often end up converting to Islam.

Our history is full of incidents like this. This is why it's very important that we be careful of whom we associate with and whom we take our knowledge from.

The kuffar I'm talking about are much more nuisance than you think. If you talk to them your blood pressure would be over 160/100 mmHg. They want to have power over Muslims through immoral means and rape our women and kill our men. I hate them.

You're giving me the lesson to love kuffar but I see many of you respected knowledgeable Muslims when argue with Muslims of others sect you abuse them. Just wondering, recently I read an article of respected scholar (May Allah preserve him upon good) who have valid points but his article had lots of abusive words, what about this behavior? Shouldn't we try spreading love among Muslims?

I feel only for peaceful non-Muslims so I pray for their guidance.

What is a girl like you doing talking to the likes of the ones you've described anyway ? Not saying the hate don't exist but remember this is the Internet and a lot of trolling and jumping on the same band wagon also exists something pre-dominantly found on kuffar forums. Also a lot of the time they don't know what their talking about.

Why don't you email the said scholar and ask him about his ikhlaq ?

Also don't use words such as you feel like 'killing' etc on a forum or offline. Just saying for your own safety as you don't know who's reading, in fact the person you might be interacting with might be an intelligence agent waiting to pounce the second you make a mistake, many brothers have been locked up on other forums and offline due to these mistakes. Just my mashwera that's all.

Stay safe and stick to proper authentic Muslim forums.

Sister, I totally understand you. I know how it feels. I saw those people in my life. In fact I had an atehist friend and all my classmates would make fun of islam, even though there were muslims. My atehist friend always made fun. You know the answer I gave him? I told him, you need to respect other religions. If they respect yours, you have to respect them. Obviously my friend didn't care, but I wasn't mad at him. He gaved me a valuable lesson. He had teached me to be silent and calm and also be greatfull of what you have. Sister hate won't help. Screaming won't help. Only dua only dua. Pray for everyone, even if they say terrible things about islam. Plz sister again I would like to point out that we should care about ourselves not others :)

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: If anyone loves for Allah's sake, hates for Allah's sake, gives for Allah's sake and withholds for Allah's sake, he will have perfect faith. (Abu Dawud)

Maria al-Qibtiyya's hatred is valid and part of Imaan. Everyone deals with hatred for Allah's sake differently. Some put it into action and help make changes (the best approach), some do Da'wah (the next best approach), some make Du'aa and some migrate because it's too much for them.

Hatred also has mercy because it's the actions that are hated and not a person. If the same actions exist in a second person, the hatred will be there too. If it isn't then it's personal and this hatred is Haraam.

Personally I don't feel there's anything wrong in Maria al-Qibtiyya's hatred. Yes it must be channelled. I agree with Jinn's message. When we clearly this much for Deen then good company is far more important than simple influence. It's almost a necessity. There is no need for individuals to address such people especially when it affects us more than them.

Surely we don't condone killing of people and expressing such feelings where majority of us would disagree.

For me the issue is the action of killing! Sorry but I still feel that it's an incorrect approach especially in public. We don't think like this in private so why should other members be labelled (being part of the same forum) in the same manners as haters and killers when this is definitely not us.

I've been to other forums and seen how they interact, I definitely don't want to sign up or be part of that kind of behavior.

The same thing was said to me when I posted on the smoking thread, the respected guest didn't want to a member of a forum where such views were being held. And that's for smoking, although a killer, it's not as worse than killing!
