Sagacious people are of opinion that past is dead, so let it be buried and future is out of reach, so let it not be relied. Present is in our hands, so let it be used with utmost skills to compete the present generation and to make the future bright.
Indeed, history of our forefathers is absolutely bright and a perfect example to be followed.
They're our role models who carved a niche in human history that the whole of the world of enemies of Islam, despite all their ill propaganda, somehow, are compelled to accept the historical facts concerning long lasting impression of our ancestors which changed the world.
What were the reasons which pushed them ahead to lead the human race and made others lagging behind, are to be considered and analysed.
Their sterling Iman was the main quality. They knew that ''In tansurullaha yansurukum'' is the deal with Allah swt and when Omnipotent Lord promises to grant you reciprocal-reward, provided that Muslims help His religion then not to worry.
What are we? The hollow men who've no respectable place on the international platform. Our rulers are sycophant to powerful countries, they're interested to cling to their throne. All classes of common Muslims are voracious of wealth and worldly success, for which they can violate the defined boundaries of sharia. Dishonesty, embezzlement, deception, corruption in character is very common in our society.
When I was a kid my late father (May Allah swt place my parents in Firdaus. Ameen) read a real story (published in a magazine) of a poor Muslim who lived in a small town, went to city (perhaps Calcutta) to earn some money. He would deposit all his daily wages to an honest Christian. After some months, he could save a big amount of money. Then he decided to return his home. So he went to that Christian and asked him to give his saved-money but the greed overpowered him and he told the poor Muslim that he hadn't deposited money to him. Poor man was shocked, he requested him but no avail. He was worried that all his labour went in vain.
He asked others to pressurize that dishonest man. One person advised him to tell this issue to local priest of church. So he went there. Having heard his story the priest took a small piece of paper, wrote some words and asked him
to give it to him. He went and gave the letter to that Christian. He read, went inside and returned with all his money. He was surprised. He asked him what the priest wrote. He replied that he wrote '' WHEN HAVE YOU BECOME A MUSLIM?''
