First wash up then apply cologne/fragrance.

First make repentance then recite as much durood.

Quote:
I wonder if you came to know of them how would you feel,
Something something something something something rhymes with -eel.

I wonder if you came to know of them, how would you feel?
Would tears from your blessed eyes, my sins peel?

You spent entire nights praying for me till your feet swelled up numb,
Going towards sin (something something) something something is just dumb.

You spent entire nights praying for me till your feet swelled up numb,
While I, blind to the blessings, continued to shore up and accumulate my sins like ocean scum

Reciting durood is a UNIQUE commandment of Allah swt unlike any other, why?

I have heard that it is the only act of ibaadah that is always accepted.

Mash'Ala good news hafiz saheb, make sure you remember me in your duas every time you recite it :p

However one of the first things that happens after sending salawaat is one feels peace, tranquility, so your experience is correct. I guess it's the sakeenah that descends when one recites it, try Dalail and see its effects Insh'Ala.

FCPM app is available on android and iPhone an awesome app that contains the daily juzz of Dalail and other Salawaat.
