Sir, what is objectionable about Shaykh Abduh's RA quote? It is echoed by some prominent traditionalists, using different wording, but relating similar sentiments?

Jamaluddin Afghani and Muhammad Abduh were both Freemasons and they instilled "inferiority complex" in the Ummah at a time when we were colonised. In the garb of "Modernisation" they encouraged Muslims to adopt everything European which means substituting everything Islamic for European.

Fact is that British colonised India because it was rich and then robbed it blind and it did not need to be "civilised". India was already civilised. Egypt was a centre of culture and arts and innovation and that's why Napoleon invaded it to rob it of its riches.

Colonisation was done at the barrel of gun and not because Europeans were superior to Muslims, we were subjugated. Then our systems were systematically destroyed and "Indian Civil Service" imposed on a country which was able to govern itself before the British got there.

The education system was introduced to create people who were brown in colour but white in thinking.

The "Gora thinking" is still with us and we still think that a "Gora" can solve our problems to this day and quotes like this continue to infect our thinking.

This context makes the quote sound quite repulsive.
