You posted a link to an article whcih was entitled "What Do I Do If I Find Out My Favorite Preacher Is Corrupt? 5 Stages of Grief", i don't have favourites per se, but if i was to go for a favourite it would be Mufti Mangera.

Ps. I don't take random twitter accusations as fact.

No it is a fact that Shaykh Yasir Qadhi held a LGBTQ issues conference in his masjid alongside Shaykh Omer Suleiman.

When there was no need for it. Even had a guest like civil rights advocate Professor Asma Tasnim invited and given a platform to speak.

Click the following link for her talk.

twitter.com/Haqiqatjou/status/1272571742767235073?s=20

Its also a fact that he has known Linda Sarsour for a number of years and has appeared on numerous platforms with her including TV.

It is also a fact that both he and Shaykh Omer Suleiman were warned numerous to not associate with her in any way shape or form, but they persisted. Out of the two Shaykh Omer Suleiman has played a greater role.

And it is also a fact that Yesterday the American Supreme court gave a ruling in favour of LGBTQ people. Saying no organisation or business can discriminate or deny employment to LGBTQ people.

Which means that if a homosexual or Transexual person is denied a position of Imam or the position of a Islamic teacher or teaching assistant. They will now be able to sue and take court action.

This is precisely the kind of thing people like Daniel Haqiqatjou have been warning about.

Halalified YouTube Audio

2 atheists (that have a big following) from Canada are capitalizing off of this and some leaked emails. A lot of young people are being effected.

Thing is he went to Yale to study western philosophy knowing full well that classical Scholars have warned against doing so. Thinking that somehow because of his degree from Madinah university he would be immune to being affected.

The essence of Western Philosophy is to apply deep critical theory to each and everything. To take the Aql the human intellect as God.

To critically question everything you believe or were taught and with the brush of Skepticism analyse it. Essentially everything you know or believe is a lie unless you can prove it to be true with logical reasoning and Critical analysis.

He ended up having doubts. Then started engaging in verbal gymnastics to try and thwart those doubts whilst simultaneously calling certains aspects of the Quran as "Problematic" consistently using the words of the orientalists like "Medieval Scholars and Scholarship" The word "Medieval" signifies backwardness and what the Europeans call the "Dark Ages".

His private e-mails were leaked unethically by a Salafi youtube idiot in order to dismantle him attack him and warn against him. Not realising the doubts YQ privately expressed If they became public domain would have a negative impact on YQ's groupies and teenage followers.

Regardless of who is capitalizing on what and whether the issue is being handled properly in the public domain, a little bit of reading and discussions with any true expert in the field would show that the the fact to the matter is that us layman haven't been taught the corrrect information regarding the preservation of the Quran, and the fact that earlier scholars had many valid different views and opinions on this topic on the whole which we would find shocking.

Perhaps if we were given better explanations and were better educated Muslims then they wouldn't be such an outcry against Dr. Yasir on this topic.

Or maybe the information we have been given is correct.

And Yasir Qadhi critical reasoning is incorrect.

From what I can tell his issue is with the 10 modes of recitation. Qiraat. He has then built an entire argument around it.

From reading what many actual Ulama are writing, saying and discussing, I can safely say I had no idea that the topic was so broad and had so many discussions and different approaches surrounding it from the time of the sahabah r.a.
I can safely say I for one had the wrong simplistic idea, and I can safely assume that is the case for many.

The traditional presentation on the preservation on the Quran is correct ..!

This type of knowledge is not for laypeople its like discussing whether ALLAH has a hand or not like a human hand.

Point is Ashari went far deeper into their research and philosophical discussions. Those who studied the Athari Aqeedah which is more literalist and simplistic at Medinah university are then left confounded.
The argument Salaafis present is that the Asharis were influenced by Greek Philosophy. Rather the Asharis researched various philosophical arguments and dismantled them.

Years ago Yasir Qadhi had a short Aqeedah discussion in the comments section of Muslim Matters website had a discussion with a Shaykh from Kuwait. Arranged by members of Sunniforum. He was bamboozled. I remember one of the people reading this discussion mentioned something along the lines of Ashari guys went deeper and could help counter the impending threat of Atheism and muslims in the west were becoming atheist at an alarming rate.

Sh Yasir Qadhi shut that down..."Atheism will never represent a threat."

Fast forward over a decade later I heard Sh Yasir Qadhi mentioning atheism as a major threat.

The problem is not with "Medieval Scholars" The problem is the modernist Salaafis and their simplistic literalist arguments which fall apart when they are looked at deeply.

Okay the discussion I mentioned was in the comments section of an article Sh Yasir Qadhi wrote about "The role of Atomism on groups of Kalaam" . It was written and posted in 2008 he was studying at Yale when he wrote that article I believe.

The Ashari shaykh commenting in the comments section posted as Abu Adam.

It was a lively discussion amongst those posting in that comments thread was our very own Muadh Khan.

Here is a link.

Apologies what I meant was what you called the "Wrong simplistic idea" is infact perfectly fine. Nothing wrong it. Certain academic level discussions are to be hashed out by the ulema amongst themselves.

Preservation of Quran pdf.

Link isn't working. The topic of the preservation of the Quran and what that exactly means is not comparable to Ashari vs Athari Aqeedah debates.

In my case, my "simplistic idea" that I used to share with non muslims was factually incorrect.
