If we are doing something wrong, deep inside in our heart somehow we know that, we have feelings we are doing wrong, but these feelings are not dominated cos we trying to ignore them... But when someone point out our fault then we realize we are doing wrong, we feel guilty, get hurt, after receiving criticism now we are trying to correct ourselves and before we were just ignoring the voice of our conscience... so my question is: Is correcting ourselves in this way Munafqat ? It seems those feelings of guilt are Riya, as we can't bear criticism, we should?
Correcting yourself is a good thing, shows character, an arrogant person will never want to be corrected as he will always assume he's right, trying to correct yourself can also be construed as being humble, it's better to be humble rather than arrogant. Remember a shy and a proud student never learn. So no I wouldn't say it's munafaqat Walahu alam, have you forgotten the ahadith about the 3/4 signs of a hypocrite ?

Feelings of guilt after committing a sin is a sign of some taqwa, iman. If you can't bear criticism then that's the devil playing with you in making you assume you're a know it all or always right , pride of knowledge I guess and to have pride is forbidden. There are many ahadith about pride etc, one says to the nearest meaning its Allah's shawl, so best not to touch it.
( if I'm wrong as always I'm open to be corrected )
