Heard of someone mention that an aalim mentioned that a gift of (edible?) leaves or similar was brought to the Prophet (SAW) from the Asian Subcontinent. This was said in the context of a discussion on paan (the green leaves stuff thats chewed in the Asian Subcontinent). Ive no idea where the quouted adecdote is sourced from. Has anyone else come accross this?
What Im not asking or wanting to discuss AT ALL is the haarms and/or merits of paan.
