I guess i should register but was quiet busy at the moment. Jazaka Allah khair for making a new post for this.

I forget to mention, the refugee camp I visit was in Belgium.

I did read about no sunni masjid in Iran especially in North but quiet large sunni in Zaheedan and also Darul Ulom but that was out from our route.

We will enter Iran soon, in about 10-14 days time as we currently in Ankara Turkey waiting for visa processing for China and Turkmenistan. We will have to pass Iran from Turkey border to border Turkmenistan near Ashgabat. The route mean we will have to take around 2 weeks as we are travelling with 4 kids.

Do you think my husband and boys not allowed at all to pray in their masjid? What do you think about Friday prayer? I send email to sunni in iran website which link to Zaheedan Darul Ulom and I believe many tablighi as well there, but to no reply.

Food possibly I am sorting out to get tin food, but it can be very hard if we cannot even stop at the masjid. I heard there are some sunni on the north part possible tablighi effort but cannot find any contact. Dewsbury markaz don't have information for Iran, but might be Raiwind have? If anybody can easily get or ask someone there for me?

We stop by at Skopje but as it was summer time, we saw plenty masjid next to beach but full of people with bikinis on the beach so didn't stop. Sarajevo was nice but still all other masjid surround got less than 10 people at praying time. Hard to get halal which is sad and so many effort need to be done.

In Turkey is similar with masjid as only open at prayer time except tablighi markaz in Istanbul. Also last night we went to Hacibajram at magrib time and to the surprise there is weekly mesyuarah there. About 30 people sit for mesyuarah and there also jamaat from Pakistan. Where there is no effort, lots of big masjeed but only open at prayer time with not many come except tourist place. But we meet many practising and lovely people here in Turkey.

Sunni's in Iran are concentrated around two places:

  1. Zahdean (Province)
    1. Darul-uloom Zahedan which you know about
    2. Nida-i-Islami the famous Deobandi magazine is also published from here which is in Persian (of course)
  2. Fars Province (city of Lar)

Have you emailed Sunnionline?

I believe there is no Jumuah if we are traveling..meaning its not necessary to observe Jumuah prayers while we are travelling just normal zohar prayers.

It makes me extremely happy when I see women go in khuroj - for that inshaAllah I will give sadaqah on your behalf so inshaAllah may Allah swt make the journey and everything else be of immense comfort and ease. Ameen.

May Allah SWT grant you, your husband, children and your nasl everything that the Prophet (peace be upon him) did dua for and save you, your husband, children and your nasl from everything the Prophet (peace be upon him) did dua against. Ameen.

Please remember me in your duas.

My mom too has made niyyah for 40 days. Make duas for my sis, she is very capable - make dua she be accepted for the effort of Deen with complete and lasting aafiyatt, ikhlaas and isteqamatt. Make duas for my sis especially.

JazakAllah Khair.

I am not in khuruj at the moment. Not in term of in jamaat via adab and usol of tablighi. Me, my husband and 4 kids is on family expedition from UK to Malaysia. But as we both used and still Insya Allah go in jamaat whenever we can, we make intention on our journey for the sake of Allah and may Allah used our journey and sacrifice for the mean of hidayah for us and others.

Whenever we manage to stop at markaz or meet anybody who used to be in jamaat, than we will stop by and of course it's nice to meet a stranger but feel familiar, if you know what I mean.

For brother muadh info, I had email sunnionline but got no reply. Seems both sunni place is far from our route. There are no camp site in Iran, so we possibly thinking of park the motorhome either in police station compound or masjeed. Possibly will see and ask the tour guide that will come to the border to see us. Can't really say much until we reach there. Will try to get in touch with sunnionline again.

Just to share some story, yesterday we went to see castle in Ankara and nearby we stop and pray magrib at the masjed called Sultan Aladdin cami/masjeed. This masjeed also called two mihrab masjeed because it's got one mihrab from existing masjeed and another mihrab outside masjid. The mihrab outside masjeed is the first mihrab and also first Friday prayer happen there in Ankara at the time of Romans before Ottoman empire. One Arab which possibly sahabah or tabiin named Ismail came from Arab possibly makkah or madinah and work with romans making stone such as for gates and etc. Roman provide place for him to pray and build this first mihrab. He work there for 40 years and pass away there and buried nearby the mihrab, about 5-6 meters roughly. It was a fascinating story to hear even for our Turkish friend from Ankara who guide us around.

Along the journey and especially in Turkey, Bosnia, it make me think how at the time of sahabah and khalifah, with less what we called neccessity these days, travel with horse, donkey and by walk such as Ibnu Batuta, imam Bukhari and etc and the time of Khalifah which there are no road as now. My husband said before of how they know where to go while we need sat nav and maps to guide us. Yet they manage to conquear and build empayar. We also manage to visit place where Abu Ayub Al Ansari been buried. Just a place, nobody know the actual graveyard.

Wish we can go to Middle east which is initial plan when we pre plan the journey 3-4 years back but many things that happen unable us to.

Hope I can share more soon. We also have website but not update much but mostly update on facebook page , byroadtomalaysia.

I try to register just now but when I click register, it goes to say, report as a spam. I will try again when my lap top available to use internet. So I possibly can share some picture of the places.

It's nice to be able to share. There are possibly none muslim camping and travelling especially us Asian. While that is what muslims in olden days used to do. Traveller community although most are non muslim, but we do have a lots in commons because travel can easily open people eyes. Even most traveller from Europe even they none muslim but will have some sort of tawakkal in them because travel especially to place you never been is like entering into the unknown. Although we try to prepare as much as we can, but we will learn that anything can happen out of our hand and we just have to learn to accept. Many non muslim love to travel to muslim countries as they feel that muslim got best hospitality. They also find out how surprise they can be compare to propaganda in media.

I meet one lady in camp site in Albania while foing the washing up at designated area. She from holland and used to live in Oman for 2 years. She love the place and before she went, many people tell her how scary muslim country can be. But she said after living there she feel that west has lost. She said she just realise that the way of living there is the way how we should do things. She said that when they went back to Holland they just feel that they now know how to do things, so they want to change how they used to do before they moved to Oman for work.

When in Albania, we meet a german family who ask so many question at my husband when he saw him and my boys pray in jamaat outside motorhome, under our awning. He ask so many question about Islam. Luckily I bring some books which I manage to grab from home which I usually collect for newly revert or non muslim about Islam. So my husband manage to pass it over. Than he manage to talk with one muslim couple who asking lots about Islam after looking at me with my Nikab. It's like my husband teaching them how to pray all over again.

So it's very nice experience we been through and many nusrah from Allah. Too many rezki that people knock on our motorhome when we stop by in Turkey, give some fresh fruits, nuts, invite for breakfast, dinner, sleepover. Many are quiet amaze because it's like they never met muslim especially with nikab camping and travelling. Kind of things lots of people think cannot be done or hard if you are muslim especially with nikab having an adventure. As we all know many non muslim have these misunderstanding about nikabi is oppressed, sad, no freedom and no life. Even muslim themselves especially in Asian part.

Many muslim we meet along the way think UK is oppressed the muslims there and think it's hard for us muslim to practise. Too many experience to share and I hope to be able to produce a travel book in perspective as a muslim.

Make doa for us, Insya Allah.

Assalaamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu dear Ummseif:

Masha'Allah! I've been following your journey and am so happy with all the wonderful experiences you've had in Turkey (ahem, being Turkish and all... sorry, can't help it, and I was worried to be honest).

May Allah Ta'aala make the rest of the journey as easy as the first half. I understand you are anticipating it to be more difficult due to lack of camping sites but we will keep you and your family in du'aas insha'Allah.

Keep us in your precious du'aas too please dear travelers :) May Allah Ta'aala accept all of our good du'aas and deeds, ameen.
