Ali Gomaa: Former Grand Mufti of Egypt

Sheikh Ali Gomaa: The Armed Forces are Egypt’s shield of security and pride

The Former Grand Mufti, Dr. Ali Gomaa, gave an important speech yesterday in a meeting arranged by the Armed Forces in which he pointed that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) spoke highly of the Egyptian soldiers and anticipated their steadfastness in the face of dissentions and turmoil. He also praised highly the historical and national role of the Armed Forces in preserving the country and securing its people. Furthermore, he appreciated the high moral principles which the Armed Forces embrace. Sheikh Ali Gomaa ended his speech confirming the solidarity of the Egyptian army and their resoluteness to sacrifice their lives for the sake of their beloved Egypt.

Innalillahe wa inna ilaihe raaje'oon.

Allah subhanahu wata'ala is really exposing these people.

They should be ashamed of themselves.

May He give the Muslims victory!

Sorry brother,

My initial question was a bit vague. What i really wanted to ask is that the fatwa S Ali Goma gave, is it correct in the light of Quran and Sunnah? Also, where he says Rasulullah (SAW) spoke highly of the Egyptian soldiers, is this true and does it even apply to this army? I am asking this as some people are thinking that this is a justification of the the armies behaviour.

JazakAllah.

Then  I am Sorry but these brothers need a brain transplant. Does anyone truly (apart from Madkhalees & Saudi Government) truly believe that its permissable to shoot belivers?

I regret but the query shouldn't be dignified with a response.

Exactly Brother Muadh. May Allah (SWT) sort out the oppressors over there. I thought Azhar was a reliable centre, but it seems from different reports and graduates from there that they have a lot of disturbing views.

Salam

To those who think Saudi's are funding the rebels in Syria. Please see link below.

Saudi Petro-Dollars and Zionist Funding in Sham as many would describe it:
imgur.com/gallery/Qs0cd

They're worried about their own 'Kursi', that's what is as they know if the mujahideen come in power in Sham, sooner or later they will remove the Sauds. So therefore they want modernists in place.

In regards to Egypt, the people kind of bought it on themselves by being ungrateful of the Islamic govt, army walks in and now everyone suffers.

Walahu'Alam

Does any body here think the late king Faizan was a good king? May allah forgive him. I really think that he was the best out of all the Saudi monarchs.

W-Salam,

Nothing like that happened in Egypt, whatsoever. If people were against Morsi the revolution would have died down by now with so much brutal crackdowns, bannings and arrests.

Brother,

There are already studies out there which showed Secularists/Modernists and US funding of parties who demonstrated against President (Hafidh) Morsi (HA). These protests were restricted to Tahrir Square.

The Pro-President (Hafidh) Morsi (HA) supporters were not only in Cairo but also other towns and cities.

The proof of this "cooked up protest" and public support is that the Military has opened fire, killed people, arrested people, arrested leaders, banned them and the support is still going. Don't you think if people hated Morsi it would have died by now after crackdown?

It has morphed and it is no longer about President (Hafidh) Morsi (HA).

Akhii I've been to Egypt as well and at the time the people I met and spoke to weren't happy about Mursi, they said he's Islamic brotherhood and will put his own party ahead and won't bother with the rest of the country, the people I'm referring to are ordinary day to day workmen, taxi drivers etc, anyway they were highly skeptic of Mursi.

The people who are still protesting today are Mursi supporters on whom fire has been opened etc. they're still cheesed of with his unfair removal by the sissy guy.

If I'm incorrect feel free to correct me bro, by no means am I a international affairs expert :D just try to put a bit of information together and figure out what's going on.

I am not an Egyptian so this is just my take and outsider's impression.

Hafidh Morsi (HA) won 51.4% vote after 30+ dictatorship. In around a year of his Government he had to fight several challenges from the Military, Secularists and others who continually undermined his ability to rule.

What precisely did people expect him to achieve???
