"The example of Moosa (Alaihis-Salaam) is like that of a hasty conqueror who, without stabilising his authority, surges ahead, while revolt spreads like fire behind in the conquered territories".

The aforementioned statement would imply that the person making it knows & is deliberately spreading batil, hence to equate the TJ bro's mistake to that of Maududi is flawed.

Secondly, Maulana Saad has explicitly said one day Fazail Aamal, one day Muntakhab Ahadith in Masjid Taleem. The UK not adopting this approach is based on more in-depth arguments than the ones you are citing.

As far as I know Luqman Bhai from New York is still alive.

With regards to the book reading, there are other reasons although being sentimental and stubborn is one. For Muntakhab Ahadith to be even accepted as a book to be read in ijtima-e-ta'leem took a long time here. It's only the last few years that it's picked up. Saathis and Ulama who I know are very close to the Akabireen in both marakiz and strict on usool were especially unwilling to let go of FeA. And I've seen why after doing ijtimai ta'leem of Muntakhab Ahadith in my last chilla.
I don't know anything about RuS, we only use it when we have Arab brothers or full-blown desi Salafis sitting in ta'leem.

(sorry Molana for late post) the first post was just asking for some comments as to how best to conduct taleem at work where the congregation is quite diverse. I think one issue here is the word 'taleem' and the perception in 'some' peoples minds that that word can only be used in a TJ sense and only one fixed book can be used from now till qiyamat. Imho the purpose of short (non-fiqhi) taleems after salaah or done generally (actually lets call it a short darse) is to try inspire/create the thirst for acting on deen. The means can be a number of ways and imho should be choosen by keeping the types of people in front of you in mind.

Today, Taleem has become almost exclusively a TJ amal, but it should not be like that. Other than Fazail Aamal, what other book is there that the lay person can understand on a daily basis without having to resort to a scholar to explain?

  1. You have skipped a number of responses and clutching on straws but for argument sake lets take your own post...
  2. Maulana Saad has explicitly said one day Fazail Aamal, one day Muntakhab Ahadith in Masjid Taleem
    1. UK DOES NOT follow this Tarteeb at all!

The de-facto Taleem book in US from 1983 (onwards) is Riyadus-Saliheen, please feel free to ask Luqman Saheb as he was there in the Mushwara. I didn't say anything about Muntakhib Ahadeeth for US as I don't know about that.

In a Masjid (until 4-5 months ago) very close to me this was the scenario in Esha:

  • Musalli distribution:

    • less then 5 (old people) who speak Urdu
    • 10+ Asians whose first language is English
    • 10+ Arabs & others who know nothing about Urdu
    • 5-7 New Muslims

Tal'eem in URDU from Fazail-e-Amaal everyday!

less then 7 people attended Ta'leem

To this day around 50% (or may be over) of the people don't know Urdu at all!

All Ailaans in URDU everyday by people who hardly know URDU themselves
OR at best Urdu sounding English and you can stop random Musalles and ask "Did you understand what was said?"

They shrug their shoulders and say "Tableeghees said something".

WALLAHI! This is not a joke...It burns my heart with pain

It is Ramadhan so I don't want to argue with the brother who will just keep going on and on and on and will eventually get abusive otherwise its clear as daylight that we have a problem.

Bowing out of the thread if the brother thinks that I can't defend my comments or don't know what is going on (internally) then so be it.

Jazakullah Khairun

salams to all, again...Im really smiling when writing this..really amused by the like/dislike/agree/disagree/winner tabs...didn't understood the 2 olds given to my post tho. well im quite old but how did the posts gave away my age??lols.
getting back to the topic...well im living in Belgium right now...brother Yasin is quite right other than his statement regarding the question posted by one of the moderator....anyways there are always 2 side of the picture. for example a half filled glass might be half empty for someone else...we can argue on it till qayamah and still it will be half filled/half empty..the only thing is to take the positivity in every approach...being negative just reflects the inner sentiments....by saying that fazail-e-a'maal has fabricated Ahadiths is just like saying that the glass is half empty..it has hadiths from Sahi-aan too and from the other Sahah-e-Sattah...is there any other book or suggestions?? how much is the muslim population??? how many of those are ulamah?? I have seen people studying bukhari alone( after retiring from their jobs) and becoming people like moududi..people who had just picked up the translation of the Qur'an (not from any khawarjees/qadiyanees) but by picthall and molana thaanwee and started giving out fatawas which will for sure end up in hell fire...
as to the answer of mentioning qadyanis and khumaynee...even if were compare the tableeghees with these 2 Kharijuddin people, (I request again please)that we wake up from the sweet sleep in the night time when The Creator is asking to us what we want and say "Ya Allah, the heart of the people is between your 2 fingers, please give these tableghees hidayat and show them siraat-e-mustaqeen"... we know that our duas are never rejected..
another post in my view which had mention of Sahabaas (rather the words were common people amongst Sahabaas)...I don't want to start praising Them but when we speak of Sahaba-e-karaam we should be carefull..no Shahabee is common..each of every one of them is far better and higher in the eyes of Allah and His Rasool than your/my muftees and elders..and they used to "regularly" "object" their ameers if they deemed something to be "against" islam.. so it 'might' mean the ameers of Sahabaas used to order them against Islam????so those ameers are like the ameers of nowadays tableeghees??? and "regularly object" means on regular basis..like atleast 12 times in 24 hour or every 2nd or 3rd decision made by their Ameer????.. I think this particular point is going too far/dangerous so I just quit it here!!!!
ending my childish endeavour here, let us all pray for each other by name and ask Allah to give him/her hidayah. instead give each and every ummati of Nabee-e-Kareem alayhissalam hidaya because that was the mission of each and every Messenger of Allah especially the Last of all Prophets sallallahoalayhiwassalam...it is promised that even if that bro/sis (you are asking for hidaya) doesn't gets it, you for sure will get it!
i apologise for any rudeness/harsh behaviour/aggressiveness. please remember me, my father(he had passed away), my grand parents and all in your duas...

Subhanallah.. i'm going slightly off topic but Muadh_Khan, your posts are always so clear to read. Properly formatted and an effort is made to get a clear message across. I know the last post is the opposite in the sense so i'm not hinting (mine are hardly fully formatted either) but that's what made me realise Muadh's posts. Jazakallah for making an effort on (for) us.

I think you meant to say you agree with me except for the statement regarding.... rather than "I'm quite right other than" which suggests you deciding right and wrong on "opinions"

Jazakallahu khair for your words.

Can you please clarify for me & the others what you mean by this, as in "Are the Tableeghis astray in your view?"

I've always heard it the other way round where the tableghees are making Dua for the rest of the people and asking Allah to guide (them and) others on the straight path!

Also a side note and I apologies my respected brother, but the format and layout of your posts are becoming more and more difficult to read. If possible, can you please post using more spaces and paragraphs. Jazakallahu khair.

ok...I got your point brother abu mohammad and I got it too from the esteemed site admin..i'll try to write better next time..i didn't mean that tableghees are astry... I mean if someone thinks that the ways of tableeghees, fazail-e-aamaal, the common laymen in the jamaat etc etc are not right then they(who are thinking) should pray for tableeghees...why only tableeghees have to pray for other people..is it not the responsibility of each and every person of this ummat...

Asslamo Allaikum,

Brother, raised a point to merely focus on the good and ignore the evil!

I DID NOT compare Qadiyanees/Khomeini to Tableeghees, I merely pointed out that both of the former had some good in them so should we focus on their good?

Brother, completely ignored the principle, misunderstood like you have and went off the tangent.

I DID NOT compare Maulana Maududi to Tableeghees, I merely pointed out that he was from Ahlus-Sunnah and also had good but Ulama warned against the bad, so should we focus on their good?

Brother, completely ignored the principle, misunderstood like you have and went off the tangent for the second time.

Let me tell you about two Sahabas (RA):

  1. Khaleefatur-Rassol (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) Sayyidina Abu Bak'r As-Sideeq (RA)
  2. Sayyidina Abdullah Ibn Zubair (RA), born roughly 2 years after Hijrah and Grand-son of Khaleefatur-Rassol (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) Sayyidina Abu Bak'r As-Sideeq (RA)

Are these two equal in rank to you?

Jazakullah Khairun

walaikum assalam

okay, I understand that the posts I wrote are quite lengthy and they has broken links in it too...
aandaz-e-bayan garchay bohot shookh nahee hai, shayad keh utar jaye teray dil main mere baat.

khomaynee/qadyanees/mododdee...they don't have anything good

I am not commenting further on this topic please as I feel that my comments were taken seriously as my intentions were just to answer in my capacity and try to tell people to pray for all unpleasant they see ..

Also I think there are some misconceptions about me being here.. that I am a person who has dual id's on this page or I am directly related to anyone who is telling me to get after someone...nor do I comment on some other islamic websites defending any jamaat/fiqah. I remember googling about dr.zakir naik once and I came to know this website and found some good things which I was looking for. I even have a bookmark on my explorer to that link...that's all..wAllah...

I apologise to brother muadh khan and brother yaseen for my attitude but I didn't mean to degrade any of you or any other person here.
and now to the question of brother muadh...how much time do I have to answer??do I get umrah/hajj ticket if I reply right??just kidding, no disrespect ...no is the answer.
finally, admin please remove any/all posts/comments from me which u deem are not munasib..
wassalam
