Assalamu Alaykum,

A few members may have noticed the poker and casino links kuffar keep posting. I am fully confident that no one has clicked any links inshaAllah.

Because of that, I would like the users votes on this... Should these 4 sections (Articles, Virtues, Peoples Say, Sharing Portal) require a user to be logged in? As in not open to guests?

Please note, guests can still post questions. This poll is only for the Miscellaneous categories.

This will stop the continuos flooding of unwanted posts as muftisays has reached high in search results on engines.

I would like some feedback from registered users as well as guests. The reason I am asking is because this is an easy way out for me so I dont have to keep track too much as in only one day, around 10 posts have been posted on Haram adverts. Let me know what you think

I totally agee with you brother. Not a very nice job to do. Please do not allow the guets to post except for asking questions. It's much better.

Is it possible 4 guests 2 have their online name shown on the home page instead of 'Anon'?

This way users will automatically know if it is a genuine guest or not.

I agree that u must b registered in order to prevent such things being posted.
Its a shame really, but I think this is the only way we can go.

Alhamdulillah no poker joker posts for 2 days so currently there's no need to limit guests on just questions.

But if it does happen then i'll have to restrict posting permissions on these categories to registered users only. Requests for Du'aas

What I meant was that on the Home page under the heading

"Recent updates, Answers and Topics"

when registered users posts something the topic comes up with their name beside it

When a guest posts something it always comes up as "Anon",

If you could make it possible for the guests name to appear on the home page we will automatically spot "Mr Poker" without seeing his message.

Guests name will appear on homepage now. Jazakillah for the suggestion.

If these kuffar really want to have a go at the website they will become a member post stupid links as a result the admins will band the user name and they'll just strike again different user different email add, if they really wanna have go at the website.

So the decision went towards the guests. Personally I always like registering to be optional. That way we know that if a person registers, they're seriously involved. Not only that, I know a few people personally who post here regularly as a guest and still hasn't registered. So I understand your points. It's not about the number of registered users, it's about visitors coming back.
