Asslamo Allaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,

I (as a nobody) respectfully disagree with Shaykh (Maulana) A.S.Desai (HA)’s Fatwa and the tone.  I am already in their sights so I guess I can probably expect more incoming fire!

Shaykh (Maulana) Tariq Jameel (HA) is a Scholar and not a “chap” and if he is indeed a “chap” then there is no point in requesting copies of Fatwa against him.

Shaykh (Maulana) Tariq Jameel (HA) views on Rawafidh (which he uttered publicly but retracted privately), Barelwees, Maududi, Dr Farhat Hashmi are confusing but maybe he is doing it out of Hikmah to draw people closer to Islam? We disagree with his approach and his views and many Ulamah in Pakistan have spoken on the issue but with respect and dignity.

Forget Shaykh (Maulana) Tariq Jameel (HA)  Majlis has the audacity of calling Shaykh (Maulana) Moulana Ebrahim Bham (HA) , the Jamiatul Ulamah (South Africa):

REVEREND ABRAHAM BHAM

  1. I am permanently banned from Sunniforum by repeating this (as I honestly thought this guy was a Christian preacher!)
  2. Sunniforum's explaination is that Shaykh (Maulana) A.S.Desai (HA) prohibits laymen from using this term because South Africans know who Shaykh (Maulana) Moulana Ebrahim Bham (HA) actually is!
  3. I sent an email to both Shaykh (Maulana) A.S.Desai (RA) and Shaykh (Maulana) Moulana Ebrahim Bham (HA) explaining that I am not from South Africa so why are Scholars using such titles for each other?
  4. To this day there is no further explanation by Majlis or warning that laymen shouldn’t use these sort of terms for Scholars?

Why is it permissible for Majlis to refer to Islamic Scholars as “chaps” and “Reverends" but prohibited by laymen? Where did this principle come from?

When you have a disagreement, state the disagreement why do you have to belittle anyone, let alone Ulamah?

Hmm...And where did you get this idea, Sister? Maulana Tariq Jameel (HA)? Mashaykh? Even the Tableeghees from his Jamaat don't consider him that, let alone outsiders.

Why not? How is it different from using the term 'Maulana' to show respect for his level of knowledge?

Discussion is welcome as long as we don't break the rules.

Please maintain respect for each other and Ulamaa (if topic is about a scholar) by avoiding accusations and slanderous comments. Also remember that in order for criticism to be constructive, it must be channeled in the right direction. If there is any doubt in a matter, it is better to ask, clarify or to remain silent rather than to speak ill of another person.

@hmdsalahuddin, post the same words you wrote to me to Neo Sufi A S Desai. He can say anything he wants because he runs a website or some madrasah..?? Can you email him?

I'm not going to call him by the respected word of 'Maulana' ever...if I do it would be an insult to some of the worlds truest, pious-est Ulamahs I know - it would be an insult to Dar al Ulum Deoband and all scholars who ever came among the ummah.

I ask the mods why do you even allow such posts - words of people that divide polarize the already polarized people? Why not ban any fatwas opinions of The Majlis ?

Deoband is getting maligned by such people...you guys would be doing a dis-service to their name and the sacrifice they did for our sake. Think about it.

Block all trash from the Majlis. Please.
And any such thing that divides.

@hmdsalahuddin, ask the Majlis to do Istighfaar in millions daily.

Or is it just me because I'm easy meat?

Is it allowed for so called Ulamah to slander & accuse other (million times more popular) Ulamah?

I get it, these people are more likely doing it to become famous. Faster.

I recieved no answers on Mufti AK Hoosen's visit to Iran ??

I'm sure we can continue the discussion without name calling.

What will be the difference between us and them. And I don't mean us and them to be a general comment towards you/me or the majlis.

Please keep the rules in mind otherwise the thread will be locked.

I think the use of "Chap" was incorrect as I mentioned earlier.

The key thing in the so called fatwa is the word IF.

Please read it again. I know it's harsh, but please try and understand it from an independent view.

Quote:
If what you have attributed to this character is correct, then undoubtedly, he is a bedfellow of the kuffaar Shiahs.

IF....if it is correct!

The question is how correct is the account, how much detail is in the question. How much is known to us, how much is known to them, has anyone got accurate info.

They also mentioned that they "heard" and I know this is another error, they can't pass a fatwa on hearsay.
