When you have been on the Internet for x number of years you'd know that there's such a thing as broken links.

People / users online could be talking about a an interesting topic and posting links to different sites / etcetera for related stuff to further the discussion, you know the stuff..

And then that link content is moved. Nobody notices this as the discussion has ended / abandoned (or moved to some anonymous / private section as they do in PSF to rebuke you) and everyone's gone to sleep until...

Until someone has a brainwave and searches for that same content...and then finds to his utter dismay that that content is lost, or buried somewhere in the abyss of the web.

We've been there, isn't it? It's very annoying.

So here's the deal:

I know Muftisays doesn't do animate photography or video - the stuff. Fine.

But when it comes to REALLY important stuff, like the recent Bangladesh riots, its pics, its videos etcetera....

Please do not be rigid in NOT hosting such content (because it contains animate photos / videos / or even videos with sound etc etc) for future use / future generations - this is really important.

I'd like to call this 'SECURING DIGITAL DATA'.

Critical videos which the establishment doesn't like are regularly taken down. Remember 中国?  

And not just such content - even if its something as refuting the deviants, and its original, and not that spread across the net, it'd be better to host that too, instead of just linking the stuff. 

I think you get the cue.

I don't think it was necessary to start whole new thread for this.

There are rules, if you follow, Alhumdulillah, if you don't, Innaa lillahe wa innaa ilahye raaji'oon.

Some topics may need to have videos etc, for example, the Dr Zakir Naik's issues. You can see the the videos on the blog section, even though they are not exactly allowed, some go ahead. so If you want, either have your own blog or paste the link to your sites where they can be found.

How nice it would be if we could navigate the forum through keyboard shortcuts?
