Asslamo Allaikum,

Is that a good idea? Would it buy any public support, probably not....

There are already whispers that the labour leadership is putting pressure on the mayor and MPs resolve the issue. They can't afford this sort of PR in the run up to the next election.

Its important everyone in the local area comes with families. The national media will be there. There is good feedback the the labour leadership is putting pressure on the mayor and local MPs to sit down with Markaz and resolve the problem. They can't afford this sort of PR in the run up to the next elections. There will be food IA.

If they succeed, Alhumdulillah. If they don't, no one can say they didn't try.

Actions are judged by intentions, so each man will have what he intended.

I just heard a lecture on wastage. SubhanAllah. the food we as Muslims waste is unacceptable.

How will you cater for the people that will attend and what will be done with the leftovers (if any).
Please count me and my family out of the food (even though I'm not from Newham), Jazakallahu khair.

May Allah protect us from wastefulness.

Message from George Galloway about the 'Newham Spring' and the public meeting tomorrow.

No matter what your opinions about him and/or the Respect party, it is a fact that the corridors of power at Newham are Islamaphobic. They don't want Muslims to prosper at all. They are doing all in their power to stiffle the Muslims of Newham.

The event tomorrow is organised by the Newham Peoples Alliance (NPA) not the Respect Party or the Markaz. The NPA is run by the mashwera of ulama and has the support of lots of the local scholars (Shaykh Haitham al Haddad, Shaykh Mujahid Ali, Mufti Abdur Rahman ibn Yusuf, Moulana Minar Ali and many more).

newhampeoplesalliance.org/

It is time to say enough is enough. We will no longer be slaves to your corruption.

The momentum is with us. Newham Council have tried to force two landlords for tomorrows event to not host the event. They were successful the first time but not second.

If you are free tomorrow (Wednesday 13th) at 7pm, please try your best to attend and encourage others.

Please note, watching Real Madrid vs Manchester United does not mean you are busy, think what is more important to you.

If you think 'its only a public meeting, why attend, whats the point'...then understand that this will be covered by local media (Newham Recorder) and it is very important to show your support for the cause.

JazaakAllah.

Wassalaam.

I'd like to let everyone know that its just more than about London Markaz. It's Newham Council that is the real issue so please attend, understand the issues and show your support for the public and residents of Newham and the working class.

labour leadership are putting pressure on Robin Wales to solve the issue of markaz. they cant afford this type of unrest in run up to the election. This is not a respect event. George has been told not to speak about respect. this is about ruffling the politicians who are ignoring us. we need a big turnout to show them we mean business. national media will be there IA. make sure your there. the numbers are more important than the message. IA Moulana Shamsuduha of Ibrahim College will also be speaking on Islamophobia.

So why not just speak (here on the forum) about the islamophobic issues rather than making it out like its a Markaz issue.

There are plenty of people on here who are not Tablighi and have no association with the Markaz. However, they would all love to help in one way or the other. Just my opinion.

Going back to the Markaz issue (as it seems that is what its all about).

I remember reading about this a few years ago with the headlines, "Mega Mosque". Did you know that it was the "Local Muslims" that opposed it very much. The media at the time (not sure about now) had linked Tablighi Jamaat with Al-Qaeda (Yeh, I know - lol) SubhanAllah.

There are so many anti Tablighis within the Muslims too. Its going to be a matter of Deobandi Vs Barelwi, because they will most definately oppose any Deobandi Masjid, especially if its going to be a Marzak.

Newham is filled with Barelwi's. Allah make it easy for us all. There is no unity amongst us, at all.

So I typed "Newham Spring Galloway" on google to find any news, outcome, progress or updates on this and to my suprise, the first result after newhamrecorder, twitter and youtube was muftisays.

So in light of this, does anyone have any updates or news on the event?
