Is hanafi fiqh on twitter the same as the youtube group?

What's wrong with them? They tweet anything, they have photos of ronaldo, retweets with 'F' words. What a disgrace to Hanafi Fiqh. I hope they read this so they can sort their act out. The 'F' word was used in a retweet saying "I'm not Muslim, but this is so F***** true" which is something to do with terrorism. Oh which also has a photo on it. So what the hell does that have to do with Hanafi Fiqh?

Disgrace disgrace disgrace. No wonder the Salafis find it so easy at times to attack

aslaamualykum brother, i agree with you 100%! it is all a disgrace! but allah will punish then for their bad languge and for their bad deeds, this is why i never trust twitter or facebook due to their bad language especially when they are muslims and are posting it on a islamic tweet!

Assalmu'alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.

I was informed by the owner. Hanafi Fiqh about this thread. I am the person responsible for the Twitter account. I myself decided to come on to this forum after being told about it to explain what has happened.

I have not posted anything with profanity or the F word. I have not posted anything that is degrading or derogatory in any way. If you want, you can check out all the 'tweets' that have been posted on Twitter, just search 'Hanafi Fiqh Twitter' on Google. I have heard people say that we are deliberately causing divisions, the truth is, I have NO issues at all with Salafis. I've met Shaykh Haitham who is a Salafi and is in fact a very pleasent person to speak to. I have friends who are Salafis from my college days and I pray next to them, behind them and I've led them in Salah.

The issue with the Ronaldo tweet; The picture was of Ronaldo before a free kick and the caption read "Prepare your saffs, stand toe to toe" and "Ronaldo looks like a Salafi the way he stands before his free kicks". It was a joke about Ronaldo and I personally don't see where the attack on Salafi's is in that comment. If anything, people have made an issues out of it because it was posted from "Hanafi Fiqh" knowing that there is slight tension there already. Our intention was not to causes a stir but to make a joke out of Ronaldo's stance.

Furthermore, what people re-tweet and then add to my tweets on Twitter I have no control over, and if someone decides to say that it was Hanafi Fiqh that posted it, there is not much I can do with regards to that. I would suggest confirming that it did actually come from us by again checking our official Twitter page before jumping on the moral bandwagon so to speak and claiming the moral highground by asking for Allah subhanahu wa taala to 'punish us'. If something sounds like it wouldn't come from us, it probably didn't.

If you still have any comments or questions, please feel free to message me on this forum or on Twitter.

Allahu'Alam,

W'salam.

With regards to the tweet with the F word in it, at first I had no idea what you were talking about, but I have seen it now. I have no idea how that was re-tweeted, I must have accidently pressed re-tweet when I was looking at it but it has been removed. If there is and issue in the future, I suggest letting us know on Twitter rather than starting forums about it. Mistakes happen.

JazakAllahukhair.

W'salam.

I forgot to mention that whilst we are primarily a Hanafi Fiqh based organisation, our main platform is YouTube. The idea of the Twitter account is not to tweet about the Hanafi Madhhab itself. Therefore not all tweets will be related to the Hanafi Madhhab but will be a broad range of topics and quite general. With Twitter, the aim of ours was to gain more subscribers on Twitter in order for the YouTube videos to be viewed more. The videos are where the main work on the issues of Fiqh is done. If you're looking for Fiqh related issues on Twitter that would be naive as issues are not easily explainable in 140 characters.

JazakAllauhkhair.

I appreciate your reply and that you took out time to clear up a few things.

My main points were not off though, you did retweet that. Whether an accident or not, all your followers received that tweet. I just read this post ( www.muftisays.com/forums/articles-stories-more/6887/mufti... ) about vulgar and immoral speech about 15 minutes before I read that tweet on twitter with the F word. I am glad it's been removed now but the damage was already done.

If this was a "Salafi Channel" or "The Pope's Group" then I wouldn't care what they post. I only started this topic because I was following you myself but unfollowed recently because of those kind of posts. I'm trying to get away from 'F' words, away from Jahaalah so I started this topic. I have contacted groups and sites with a high volume of listeners or followers and the truth is, I hardly EVER get a reply. Deny it all you want but I'm sure I wouldn't have got a response like the one above if I contacted in private.

Now for the parts where you chuck blame on me and for some reason people are agreeing.

Quote:
I have not posted anything with profanity or the F word
Yes you did and you said it was an accident

Quote:
I have not posted anything that is degrading or derogatory in any way.
You posted a photo of someone wearing tiny shorts. I guess the fact that it was 'joke' makes it okay right?

sweetmuslimahk1 was posting in general that people who swear will be punished. It wasn't aimed at you so please stop talking down at her.

I think I prefer starting a forum. Like I said, groups and organisations never reply. So I like to see if I'm wrong or if other people agree. I feel okay now that I wasn't wrong. I know for sure you will think twice about posting 'jokes' in future inshaa-Allah.

I suggest you change your description then
"Assalaamu alaikum. We are a youtube based organisation. Our main aim is to make Fiqh easily accessible & understandable, for true seekers of knowledge." - maybe add, "however, some tweets may contain the male 'Awrah and some may contain 'F' words" - It's easy to make someone look silly. Obviously some tweets will be general, that wasn't my point man. Tweet anything you want. Just don't tweet Haraam things.
If you're looking for Fiqh related issues on Twitter that would be naive as issues are not easily explainable in 140 characters.
Oh right, I thought twitter tweets were for full detailed explanations of complicated Fiqh matters. Some times its better to explain yourself or reply and then wait. The more you posted, the worst it got for yourself. I wasn't even here to argue but to raise a simple point.

If you disagree with anything above, I would really appreciate it if you let me know.

Once again, I actually do really appreciate that you replied and made an effort to clear it up although you got more defensive than helpful. Then you got offensive and then you started to make it sound like I don't know the difference between twitter and youtube and how naive I might be to assume such. Anyway, I thank you for replying nevertheless. I swear I have no hatred nor am I angry

Also,

the truth is, I have NO issues at all with Salafis
I recommend that you do have a problem with them. But that's just me. I think you misunderstood what I said when I said "No wonder the Salafis find it so easy at times to attack" - What it means is that No wonder the Salafis find it easy to attack Hanafis etc due to our carelessness when it comes to applying the rules especially from a group that claims to make Fiqh easily accessible & understandable, for true seekers of knowledge.

I'm sorry again. I had no intention to do this but your replies and indirect belittling made me respond accordingly. Like I said, I actually followed you (before) and still love the work. A member here posted so many videos which I watch regularly to understand our fiqh.

Can the real twitter guy sign up. Otherwise anyone can post using his name too and cause havoc.

This will not be good.

Brother Mohammed Hanif, I'm so glad you're here and I hope you're the right person to speak to about this. I've been a fan of hanafi fiqh channel since Seifeddine introduced it to me, may Allah reward him for that.

I've always wanted to post videos on the forum but I can't due to the simple rule of "eyes". I appreciate the differences of opinions, nevertheless being on this forum, we need to stick to the rules. Therefore I kindly request if you could make two videos of the same talks. One video as it is and the other with scenery or something like that. Wallahi, the videos section here be filled to the rim. I personally would also be posting some in the forums. You will also be spreading work further inshaAllah.

Jazakallahu khair.

PS. I apologies for using your name in the post above, but i wanted to show you the possibility of forged/dodgy/fake posts.
