Bismillah.

Update on my above post my Brothers accident happened in Pakistan.

He was booked in by family into a top private hospital. Impression I am getting is that the Dr's who are specialists. Are highly arrogant do not interact much with families of patients. Its mainly left to the nurses to give feedback to patients families. With loads of contradictory information from the nurses along the lines of the following. "We have placed him in an induced coma," " no we have not placed him in an induced coma, he is in a regular coma and is unresponsive" "The main problem we are having is the bleeding and swelling that has taken place in his brain as a result of the head injury"
" No actually the main problem is that he had a nose bleed from his head injury and the blood has gotten in to his lungs the blood has congealed in the lungs and has caused an infection"
"No the main problem is that he is diabetic and the diabetes has caused complications towards his treatment":

As far as CT scan of the brain goes still not sure if they have taken a scan or not. Its either we have already taken a CT Scan or We will be taking a CT Scan. With never any feedback as to what the scans if they have taken any have revealed.

Relatives are only allowed very limited visits in the intensive care Unit. Those too for only 15 minutes at a time. Being from a village none of them have even a basic understanding of medical terminology.

Only thing I know with certainty is that he is in a coma and is on life support machines.

From the point of view of profit it seems to me it is in the interest of the hospital to maximise their profit. And keep the patients in Intensive Care as long as possible.
They are charging 120 000 Rupees a day. Which is equivalent to about £550. Thats just for intensive care additional tests and treatments are charged extra.

I am fearful they might keep him in a state of Coma for weeks and once they have made as much profit as possible. State sorry there is nothing more we can do.

Rely on Allah ta'ala brother. These situations make us realise we have no choice but to turn to Him and rely on Him to open ways for us

Allah ta'ala safeguard him (and others in India/Pakistan where this is very common) from greed of man and bring him safely back home with 'aafiyah, aameen

I have told my relatives to do this or at the very least take a local Doctor from our destrict with them. Who can understand the medical terminology being used interact with the specialists and develop an understanding of whats going on. And what the prognosis is and what medical treatment and tests are being provided.
