Salaam, there is a spyware out there that locks the computer and asks for payment for it to be unlocked.

The message looks like it comes from the police, but is a fake. There is a solution to this and have it fixed.

This is from a client 

There are plenty of videos on YouTube and instructions on how to get rid of it.

One way never to get a spyware on your computer is to be a "good Muslim". Working with people in the IT, I have come to learn that anyone who gets a virus or spyware on their PC is due to going to unknown and mostly dodgy sites. The other thing to stay away from are emails sent to you from unknown addresses, these usually contain viruses.

There have also been incidents where you may receive an email from a known person, and the only thing in that email is a link. This link can do one of many things. Do not open it.
