Islamic Affairs Minister to Head KSA's Delegation to Opening Largest Mosque in Chechnya
Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh will head the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation to the opening of Fakhr Al-Muslimeen Mosque(مسجد فخر المسلمين) tomorrow, which is the largest mosque in Chechnya, under the patronage of President of Chechnya Ramzan Akhmadovich Kadyrov, and with participation of Islamic delegations of a number of countries.
This participation comes from the Kingdom's leading role in serving Islam and Muslims, and encouraging any action that serves Islam.
OIC Secretary General Attends Opening Ceremony
The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, today attended the official opening of Fakhr Al-Muslimeen Mosque in Shali, Chechnya, under the auspices of Chechen President Ramazan Ahmed Kadyrov.
The mosque, which was built on the highest Islamic architecture, consists of two floors with a capacity of 20,000 worshipers inside and about 100,000 worshipers abroad with large green areas on the sides of the mosque.
Saudi Delegation Participating in Opening Largest Mosque in Europe Welcomed by Chechen President
President of the Republic of Chechnya Ramzan Akhmadovich Kadyrov welcomed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdul Aziz Al-Sheikh, who is heading his country’s delegation to the opening of the largest mosque "Muslims' Pride" in Europe.
He affirmed that the Kingdom's high-level participation comes within the keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense on taking part actively in all religious events and international forums emanating from its noble message in the service of Islam and Muslims and the embodiment of its role in supporting all action, representing a significant contribution towards Muslim unity and renaissance.
President of Chechnya also extended congratulations to the Kingdom's leadership for the success of this year's Hajj season 2019, hailing its supportive stances of all issues bringing about unity of Islamic ranks, spreading moderation and combating all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism.
Kuwait- Amiri Diwan Advisor in Grozny for mosque opening

Kuwaiti Amiri Diwan Advisor and Chairman of the International Islamic Charitable Organization (IICO) Dr. Abdullah Al-Maatouq arrived Thursday in Chechnya capital, Grozny, to attend the inauguration of the largest mosque in Europe.
Al-Maatouq and his accompanying delegation were received by Mufti of Chechnya Salah Mezhiev, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Sultan Tagayev, Minister of Transport and Communications Ramzan Cherkhigov, MP of the Russian State Duma Adam Delimkhanov and Kuwait's Ambassador to Russia Abdulaziz Al-Adwani.
During his visit, Al-Maatouq is due to meet with Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov.

About the Mosque
The Mosque of Fakhr al-Muslimeen is a masterpiece of modern Islamic architecture, built in the style of the four symmetrical gates that meet each other.
The mosque project was designed by Uzbek architect Abdul Qahar Tardayev; his project eventually won the international competition announced before construction began.

The mosque consists of two floors, in addition to the basement, and takes the form of a square, and the length of the rib in it to 65 meters, and the length of the foundations of the mosque concrete 100 meters.
An independent minaret with a total height of 63 meters is placed on each of the four corners of the mosque.

The mosque was built in the city of Shali in the Republic of Chechnya. Construction began on December 2, 2012. More than 6,500 tons of white marble from Greece were used in the construction of the mosque. The interior decoration of the mosque was carried out by Uzbek artists in the workshop: “ILKHOM”. The carpet of the mosque was an area of 8000 square meters, weighed 36 tons, and carpets made of New Zealand wool by the Turkish company "OSMANLI KASMIR HALI", and the turquoise blue carpet is decorated with national Chechen decoration and lily.
The main dome is 41 meters high, and the minarets of the mosque are 63 meters high.
The vacant area of the mosque is 9,700 square meters, and the capacity of the mosque inside the 20,000 worshipers, and abroad a hundred thousand worshipers.
Four special buildings were built next to the mosque, where places of purity and ablution.
The mosque is surrounded by 15,000 square meters of green areas.
