Masjid in the City of Harrari in Ethiopia .... It is one of the most Historic Islamic cities of Africa , there is even small museum with manuscripts going back centuries.

A simple wooden Mosque in rural Ethiopia not opulent but certainly alot of Noor .

There is alot of history in Ethiopia going all the way back to King Negus...Shame most muslims are unaware.

The Cheraman Juma Masjid (Malayalam:à´šàµ‡à´°à´®à´¾àµ» à´ªà´³àµà´³à´¿) is a mosque in Methala, Kodungallur Taluk, Thrissur District in the Indian state of Kerala.Built in 629 AD, it is the first mosque in India. It was built by Malik Deenar, an Arab propagator of Islam and a follower and contemporary of Islamic Prophet Muhammad. It is believed that this mosque was first renovated and reconstructed in the 11th century AD. Many non-Muslims conduct initiation ceremonies to the world of letters of their children here.

In terms of its impact on the west Masjid at Taqwa in Brooklyn New York.. established in the early 1980's by Imam Siraj Wahaj, it was originally a small store front masjid in an area of highcrime and poverty that street where it is located was notoriously infested by Drug Dealers, Prostitutes and surrounding by a scenery of boarded up shops and derelict buildings . The Imam and his congregation cleaned up the area with street patrols today it is a vibrant neighbourhood... The Likes of Nouman Ali Khan, Shaykh Hamza Yusuf, Imam Zaid Shakir, Suhaib Webb to name a few all spent some time in there early years in Islam at the Masjid at Taqwa.
