Ibn Mas'ood (رضي الله عنه) says, "O people! Today people give more importance to actions than knowledge. A time will come when knowledge will become more important than actions."
Today, through books, lectures, programmes and other means knowledge has become very widespread. But this increase has resulted in a lack of actions. (practicing upon what we know) (Tanbeehul Ghafileen)
